Yeah, I liked them too. They were pretty popular here. I have their Around the World music video.

SO weird that this thread pops up. I just found my old Aqua CDs today, and I was listening to them. Brings me way back.

They were strange, but talented in their own way. Their lyrics were SO theme-y, but their music and arrangement were always way cool. Fun beats, but stupid lyrics, really.

Good times. Loves it.

They weren't a one hit wonder, they had, I think, three successful albums and plenty of hit songs... they were pop in fact, but not one hit wonder.

they were a one hit wonder in the US. in Europe they had several more hit songs & few succesful albums more than just 'Barbie Girl'.

Oh, geez. When I was really little my older sister was in LOVE with Aqua. She played their songs all the time. I rather like them, too, even though I haven't heard them in a while. I still have most of Barbie Girl memorized. xD

OMFG, there's a re-unite rumour. Apparantly there's a 25 date tour next Summer and a Greatest hit's featuring song's they worked on for the third album before the split, different arrangements to their older hit's and new as well as the old Video's.

They released 2 as Aqua, and were working on a third before the split. They actually performed some of the new songs on their final tour in the early 2000's.

Yep, two original albums and a (good) remix album. I think they also had two editions of the remix album???

Yeah, almost the entire ensemble of songs on Aquarium were "hits", it's almost like a best album. Except calling you, boys and girls, in the heat of the night and goodmorning sunshine, most songs got PVs no?

What is this? The year of comebacks and greatist hits? They only really had one hit tbh.
