Need some good Taiwanese/Chinese/other Asian music. Suggestions?
I only have one artist on my iPod that is Taiwanese and that is Jay Chou. I have no Chinese music and all of the Asian music on my iPod comes from either Japan or South Korea. So, I need music from other countries. Can you all give me some artists that are either reggae, rap, or R&B (can be pop influence like Jay Chou) that are really good and aren't from Japan?

If you like Jay Chou, it's almost impossible that you won't like Leehom Wang, also Taiwanese and good friend of Jay. Coco Lee (Hong Kong) has many urban songs (watch out for ballads thoughXD) and she is the first chinese to sing on the Oscar's stage.
Jolin Tsai is more pop than urban but you could still try. |

Definetly Leehom Wang, he always has amazing music!
As I also reccomend Jasmine Leong, she has beautiful music, I think leehom composed on of her songs before Yeah, Jolin Tsai kinda like in between.

I tried out all of yours suggestions and I loved them. I even downloaded Jolin Tsai's album Agent J and now I can say I am a fan. I love her.

Cyndi Wang and Rainie Yang! But they are not R&B-ish at all. I also love F.I.R but once again, not R&B-ish. I guess I don't quite like the Chinese R&R artists.

Som DamBi (Korean): SHE IS AWESOME! you can find her stuff in my site. "Cry Eye", the single, is the best of the year.
Jolin Tsai (Chinese): My third favorite artist. She's awesome! You'll like her too. F.I.R. (Chinese): That's a band, an awesome band. Their most recent album is scary amazing. I love it a lot too. |
