If she wants to go overseas to do something creative she should stop going to the same places ALL the time. Hawaii, L.A., and NYC. Enough! I wonder if she's ever heard of Europe

BEEN THERE DONE THAT. I hate leopard print in the first place. I think it's highly unfashionable and looks bad on most people. plus, she's DONE it already MULTIPLE times. Duty not to mention the Surreal cover. I don't really care about the desert I guess, but the dress disturbs me, and I just really really hate her hair. I can't explain it, but I hate it. The nails don't bother me.

I don't think it fits the theme at all. At. All. Period. Plain and Simple. ESPECIALLY after she said "oh, after listening to this, i cried. it was so emotional." THAT KIND OF COVER IS WHAT YOU THINK OF WHEN YOU CRY?!?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?!?!?!?! And one of her eyes is more squinted than the other in the cd+DVD and that's like, ALL I see when I look at it. She can confuse the hell out of us with a meaningful PV but not a cover. That make sense.

first you start recycling all your music, and now your covers? jesus christ. Namie, bb, come back to me. You will be my favorite artist again. There has never been a day since I started to love Ayu back during RAINBOW that I thought I could be so disappointed and so disgusted with her. But today it has occurred.

she's been in the industry for almost 10 years now
i think she has the right to have a lukewarm year
but i personally think that this year's whole package is better than last year's
i can't say that for sure yet, because GUILTY's not out yet, but so far 2007/2008 is much improved

you guys are using too strong of connotations lol
calm down, you haven't even heard the full album yet

Yeah I know what you mean. Problem is that Ayumi has moved away from that direction and I admit she's more focused on pushing a bold and glamorous image. I don't mind that but I can see why some people would be disappointed.

However I still think she has put in some effort. Lately she has been trying to move towards a new direction and some of her material has been quite decent. Maybe if this new direction isn't appealing, it's time to move on and find other artists. That's what I do when I lose interest in an artist.

At least Ayu looks good on those pictures. Unlike whatever "(m)u" was supposed to be. Huge heart shape? Hands on the face? Weird forced smile? At least Ayu looks damn great on those "GUILTY" covers.

I don't like her eye candy covers either, but I don't hate them.

I was shocked to see DUTY in the covers as well. But the cat suit is way better than this.

I'm glad everyone else likes them, but I think their horrible. And that dress is fug, it makes her look BIG. CD+DVD cover for me.

I think this is her worse album cover to date imo, including (miss)understood. But she has such a high standard, its hard to keep up.

Hopefully I'll grow into them

1) Hawaii -- it's close to Japan as far as exotic places go and there's a thriving Japanese population there.

2) LA and NYC.....uh, the music-making capitals of the western world. LA and NYC is great for meeting with awesome producers and being in the center of a lot of good musical inspiration and potential. Have you ever heard anyone say, "I want a killer single. Let's go to Brussels and find a producer."

My understanding of your point here is that you believe she isn't trying because she's not going to places she hasn't been to before? Europe's expensive, man. Yeah, she's loaded herself, but avex is pretty tight with the purse strings anyway. And who knows? She's ventured into Asia this year so other places next year is a very likely possibility.

And Demure_Dusk is right on a lot of her points, too.

you don't know how happy I am that these are fake. I was pissed off that I would have to see this on an album.

Too many rumors though, it's getting a bit ridiculous. Now I can maybe get my hopes up again for better covers.

Mhm. And whenever I hear songs like 'teddy bear', 'SCAR', and 'SURREAL', I think of a catwoman trapped in a cage.

And 'too late', 'appears', and 'Who...' totally make me think of a naked girl standing in NYC.

I'll judge the whole cover concept after I hear the music.

I agree with you coelacanth...its better to judge the cover after listening to the whole album. As for duty and loveppears...the only connection with the covers was appears and surreal pvs. Inspire would fit in with this album.

LOL AYu doesnt go to NYC and LA to find producers now does she? I thought MAx Matsuura was her producer? And I thought she produced her own stuff? Plus her composers are like all Japanese..

Lol Europe's expensive isn't an excuse. If she can go on tour in Asia and sleep in 5 star hotels with like 200 de-humidifiers, she can go to Europe for a photoshoot.
