What Artist Do You Like, That You Previously Didn't Like?

At first, I pretty much disliked everyone besides Kuu, BoA, Ayumi, and Hikki. I especially disliked Ai Otsuka, Namie, and MoMusu. But I love them all now.

Utada Hikaru and m-flo. For Hikki I didn't like her voice because it's too deep and she tries too hard to be emotional during lives and so she strains her voice and her live ends up off-key. She still does that every once in a while, but on the whole I've come to like her compositions and her lyrics

m-flo used to come off really wanksta to me for some reason...I think they're pretty decent now, though when it comes to Asian hip-hop, I'm sticking with Korea's YG Family XD

I really didn't like Ai Otsuka for some reason at first. The super cuteness just gave me a headache. I still kinda dislike Pon Pon, but I like most of her songs nowadays.

It took me awhile to get used to Koda Kumi.

Rina Aiuchi; I hated her voice.
Jolin Tsai; I hated her for ruining Jem's "They". I also though she was ****ty for a while.
Koda Kumi; I DID NOT AND NEVER DID THINK SHE WAS A ****. I just hated her voice.
Yuna Ito; For some reason i thought she was plastic and all manufactured.
melody.; See above. Though its' kinda true with melody.
OLIVIA; I came to the conclusion she was a pre-madonna, for some reason.
Tommy6's; "WTF IS THIS?"
Nami Tamaki; At first her large amount of anime fans put me off. But it's okay now.
ayaka; Man voice. I love it's uniqueness now.

Jolin did a cover of "They"? WHERE?!
And I also used to think the Tommy6 project was weird.
Now I can't get enough of them.

Also, about Jolin. I used to hate her too. Like extremely hate her. Not because of the whole, "JOLIN COPY AYU" thing, but because I didn't like her face. lmao.
But thanks to Agent J, I really enjoy her music. She's the only non-Japanese Asian music I listen to.

Namie Auro - Back in 2005 i hatred her, calling herself queen of hip-pop was really lame... untill i herd her music

Ayumi Hamasaki - First Song I heard was I think Depend On You. When I first heard it I was like WTF IS THIS CRAP? As years passed I blocked my self from her music till MA. I heard Because Of You & Feel In love with her music after.

miyavi - I heard his album Galyuu. It gave me a serious headache track 1-5. I hated all of it. One night I was bored & I decided to give the CD one more try. Then started liking him.


hitomi - First song was You Dirty Bastard. I thought OMFG HER VOICE IS ANNOYING. I tired other songs & I got the same feelings. I BLOCKED her out til 2005 Japanese Girl. Heard the song Loved it! Love her now but her voice is still annoying to me

Long time ago I heard her song So Into You and I thought it sucked. I started to like her when she start releasing the 12 single thingy.

I also used to think Utada Hikaru was overrated, but then I discovered ULTRA BLUE.

At first i hated her sexy image and didn't know much about her, but when i saw the Black Cherry CM on my TV i thought it was quite nice, though it wasn't the one that got me into her, but it was when the Best ~Bounce & Lovers~ CM was aired on my TV and i heard Get Up & Move !! and Crazy 4 U and i decided to give her music a try... xD

2. Ai Otsuka
Her voice is so.. sharp >_> I liked her after listening to LOVE PiECE. xD

Another artist I didn't like before....Ai Otsuka.
Seriously, she was overly cute and her voice made me nauseous.
But then I saw the CHU-LIP PV and was like: "Hey, maybe I like this cute thing!"
And then I've followed her all the way up to LOVE PiECE...I didn't like Pocket. haha

I found her voice very annoying... but I like Kingyo Hanabi, and she writes a lot of fantastic songs, so I learned to live with her voice.
