Koda Kumi-
I thought she was too whiny and dramatic until I heard 'BUT' from her back in March or April.

Namie Amuro-
I thought she was ridiculous because she was Japanese hip-hop...but I listened to her 'Queen of Hip-pop' album and fell inlove with her.

Haha, I like how many people didn't like many artists based on their image first, and then heard their music. =P

-Kumi Koda (this was a long time ago) I didn't find her music very interesting, just sort of okay. Then she released Crazy 4 U and I totally got into her. XD

-LISA is one of my favorite artists now, but woah, back when she used to come on the radio I couldn't STAND her songs. Her early singles (minus Babylon no Kiseki but that was never on the radio) sucked. And I still don't like them much. I finally heard It's On and I, Rhythm a while ago and fell in love.

Don't have any others on the top of my head. I either still don't care for them much or I always did love them. =P

I used to dislike Koda Kumi too...well, not as much as dislike as "why is she any different again?", Crazy 4 U and Butterfly changed that...

Dir En Grey...back then I hated the genre of music in general. But I started listening to them more, ignored their flamboyant look of the late 1990's, and eventually, garner then as my favorite band. Plus, they introduced me to more Japanese musicians such as Maximum the Hormones and Utada Hikaru.

hitomi shimatani.

I heard Papillon and I just really disliked it =\ and I felt she totally just ruined the original. But then I heard ANGELUS and then Perseus and I fell in love with her ever since and now I'm a HUGE fan of her. Her music just gets better and better =)

........ayu. Hahaha it's funny but it's true. The first song i downloaded from her was "trust". I wanted to puke haha.
Then i downloaded "First love" from utada hikaru, and i totally loved it. So when i knew about their "rivality", i was on utada's site.
Then, a miracle happened and made me download JEWEL...and here i am. I LOVE AYU!! Thank you JEWEL Die Trust

I used to really dislike Ayu, 'cause I couldn't get used to her voice in her first few albums (0_0)

hehe. But now she's definitely one of my favorite artists of all time. I don't know what I was thinking by not listening to her as often as I do now!

Ami Tokito = first song I heard was"I'm a lady ~Jirettai Watashi~"

Nami Tamaki = first song I heard was "Result"

Ryohei = first song I heard was "the LIGHT"

Hitomi Shimatani = first song I heard was "ANGELUS"

that's all I can remember now >_<

Koda Kumi - Absolutely hated her image, and her music, until BUT, which made me like her music, and at least tolerate her image I still dont like the pre BEST ~second session~ things though, just not my kind of music.

Ai Otsuka - I downloaded LOVE COOK, and was like D: wth is this?! especially during SMILY and ramen 3pun cooking. But, after listening through LOVE PiECE made me love her, soo much I own all her albums now lol.
