If a big celebrity said "Your amniotic fluids rot at age 35" on American radio, no one would even blink. Japanese media is such a drama queen haha.

I still love you, Kumi!! You can move to my house and talk about rotting fluids all you want.

Ayu never did say a stupid thing. It was more of a vicious lie. In CDL 2001-2002 she noticed that some people in the front row were standing while the rest of the audience were standing up (I assume they were dancing to some songs or something). She jokingly asked them to join in and stand up. Some people went online and claimed that there was a physically handicapped person on the front row and that Ayumi made a discriminating remark.

The truth was that at the front row most of the people were her friends and there was no physically handicapped person. People were just trying to get her in a bad light. Later on avex issued a statement claiming that the truth but the people who spread the lie never apologized. Seriously some people must be rather miserable to invent this kind of junk.

Yeah, I guess the whole thing has gone too far.

But, US tabloids aren't better IMO.

Actually, she said "The fluids in your uterus start to rot by the time you're age 30, so you should at least have kids before age 35." She didn't say anything that particularly offensive but the way she worded it was kinda tactless. This is what my boyfriend said anyway.

Any news about Koda in public yet? I know this is hurting her and I want to know what has she been doing since then?

What I don't understand is... Amniotic Fluids occur when you are pregnant... Therefore if they "rot", then she's saying that your baby grows in rotting amniotic fluid. That's disgusting.

so I'm guessing kingdom might sell around 445k first week? but I guess that depends on the sales the next 2 days...I seriously don't know what the next 2 days sales would be like...doesn't weekend sales go up? but with this incident, who knows.

I don't actually think she means 'rot' in the sense of something decomposing more like in a way that its less effective. Really it isn't an insulting thing too say its just that she worded it wrong. Silly mistake

well maybe Kuu meant that the later age you get kids, the worse their condition MIGHT turn out to be? thats a fact. But 35 age is a bit young for that. But my mom says the "best" for having kids is before 25. After that things get "worse" already. But she also says she saw many 20/21 year olds having a baby with down syndrom

I hope Kuu apologises publically :x

Maybe when all these people get their medical degrees, I'll trust what they say.

Kuu, just like a lot of people in this forum who have spoken on this topic, can't say this is better or that is better 100%.

I hope she can sell 500k + the first week, but if not, I won't be too disappointed. I think it'll stay on the charts for a while.

The Japanese word for "rot" that it is being translated from could also hold different meanings/connotations for all we know. Either way, I don't find what she said offensive, but I do think she made a big oops saying something like that in public media.
