it says that Kumi is suspended for a month it also says that they don't know for how long, but it is expected to last at least until the end of the month (thnks angel_angelic on hf for the info  )

She made a seemingly light-hearted reply that "when women turn 35, their amniotic fluid goes rotten, so I'd like them to have a child by 35." The inaccurate statement sparked a lot of criticism among listeners, particularly on the internet. Koda issued a public apology on Friday through the websites of Nippon Broadcasting System and Avex, but the damage had already been done. Cosmetics firm KOSE has temporarily removed her presence from its Visee site, and promotional events for her new album "Kingdom" have all been canceled. Koda was also scheduled to appear on a Tokyo FM show on Saturday, but she has been replaced by fellow Avex artist Ami Suzuki. However, some of her television appearances will go on as planned, such as the already-recorded "Koi no Kara Sawagi" on Saturday and "Tetsuko no Heya" on Thursday. According to Avex, the length of Koda's self-suspension has not yet been decided but is expected to last until the end of this month. Koda has a national tour scheduled to start in April, so she hopes to resume activities in time for rehearsals in mid-March. (credits: angel_angelic @ HF)

Wow! She's being replaced by.....Ami Suzuki!
 How the hell do you "suspend" an artist?! What they don't get a week's worth of pay?!  This issue is getting way out of hand. She doesn't deserve what she's getting.....poor Kumiko. AVEX is only doing it to make themselves look good. Ugh, out of all the things they do in Japan, saying women eggs rotten would get her into trouble. Ugh....Japan is so backwards.

I HIGHLY doubt that avex suspended Koda because they think that what she said was wrong or whatever. The way I see it, they decided to suspend Koda for only a month so that she stays out of the limelight. Enough for this scandal to disappear. It's not a big deal I guess.

Koda was trying to refer to the fact there are greater risks of having children with chromosomal diseases, such as down syndrome, after women reach 35 years old. It's a fact, but she got the explanation all wrong, because it has nothing to do with amniotic fluid, much less, rotten.
