Aimee Mann

Has anyone heard of her? She is an amazing musician. Her most commonly known song is "Save me" from the Magnolia soundtrack. It was nominated for an Oscar (but she didn't win it. ). She's extremely talented, and her lyrics are absolutely amazing. She has her own record label because she didn't have enough freedom on a traditional label. Anyway, she's awesome so I was just curious if anyone else has heard of her.

Her official site:

You can hear her entire latest album on her website.

I had never heard of her but hey, I love this kind of music. Makes me melancholic LOL Her voice is pretty good as well. Thanks for the suggestion.

My favorite song on the "Lost in Space" album is called "It's Not." You should definitely listen to it on her website! "Lost in Space" is a little darker than her previous albums, but still very good!

I listened to all the album already! It was so good I had to listen to everything
I agree "Lost in Space" is quite a dark album, plus to every song you listen to there's a weird picture to go with the song and they're all at night, dark colored. Makes the songs even more cooler to listen to ahaha

Those pictures that go along with the songs are from the booklet of the CD. She doesn't put a lot of pictures of herself on her CDs.

She's been around a long time. I still remember her form the 80's when she was the lead singer for a band called 'Til tuesday.

Is it me or does she use the words "drugs" - ("It's all about drugs, It's all about shame") a lot in her songs LMAO? Maybe it's because her songs are addictive (in a good way though different from drugs ) LOL I can't stop listening to "HUMPTY BUMPTY", "HIGH ON SUNDAY 51", "THIS IS HOW IT GOES", "PAVLOV'S BELL" and "IT'S NOT".

Lost in Space deals a lot addiction. It's a common theme. She has a really, really amazing addiction song called "Wise up" You should download that one too! Even if you don't have problems with addiction, you can probably still relate to the lyrics. I was able to. It's an awesome song! If you want to read more about the meaning behind the Lost in Space album, check out the "bio" section on her website. It's very interesting!

Wait a sec!!!! She is going to release a special edition version of "Lost in Space." It's coming out in November, but it'll be available to preorder later this month on her website. So you might want to wait for that. You can read more info about it on her official message boards.

HEY!!! There are hidden tracks to listen to on the website LMAO!!!! It's kinda funny. If you put the arrow through the stars you'll find 2 stars that becomes red, If you left click on those stars the song's name will appear ! They are the 2 BONUS TRACKS from the album LMAO: BACKFIRE and NIGHTMARE GIRL. NIGHTMARE GIRL is so awesome! BACKFIRE is the only happy song in the album

haha, that's cool! I never found that. I can hear why they weren't put on the album though. Thanks so much for pointing that out!
