nah ami probably won't be dropped
it's not as if avex gave her any promotion anyway
most artists fail miserably if they don't have sufficient promotion; i feel ami's one of them
people like ayu and hikki would probably do just fine w/o promotion, but 99% of the time they get it, so we never really know what it's like for them w/o the appearances

hm. Yeah, with GUILTY my boyfriend said it was massive promotion in japan, billboards and trucks everywhere... TV performances and stuff of course, and like, why do they need it? Everyone who was going to buy the album would've known it was coming out anyway, while with Ami......

I really do hope Avex lift their game, i mean - so many labels are like that. they don't bother promoting less-known acts becuase they think theres no point, and then dropt hem when they album doesn't sell.

I doubt Ami will be dropped anyway, avex hardly ever seem to drop artists, right?

Though i really do think they'll be releasing an ~avex best~ for ami this year, and hopefully that'll pull some decent sales with a few new great singles on it and good promotion.

I see in Japan labels usually releases best albums after a third studio album...

I hope that would sell better than the previous albums ._.

I dont think Ami will get dropped anytime soon, since she is selling decently for having next to no promotion. I hope if they do make a best album for ami they at least put up some spots in visible places so people are actually aware the album is out.

Avex wont drop Ami Suzuki, AVEX has a bunch of artists that are worse than her and been with avex for longer. Ami is still a very valuable artist. Just because artists dont sell as much as the AVEX divas, doesnt mean they are going to be dropped.

Ami has lost her appeal anyway, major success isnt expected anyway, and AVEX know that.

she hasn't reallly lost her appeal - look at the succes of ATW, it shows that if she has the righ music and good promotion she can sell. i tihnk CONNETTA is still good but it's just not mainstream, and the singles after ATW were just lackluster compared to the ATW singles (even though i prefer CONNETTA's singles...)

so, if she's gunna release a best, what do would you want the tracklist as?

hm, yeah i guess I hope she does a 4th album though - but considering her current sales avex would probably prefer a BEST to get more money.

though, i hope her next album won't be a "joins" album, i'm so sick of that - she could do an album of the quality of DOLCE but just not do the joins!! and write her lyrics!!

we probably won't get any news for another 4 months at least.. there was a fairly big gap between CONNETTA and FREE FREE
