Its not terribly popular where i am, but i go to an art school and everyone there is really into anime (its kind of ridiculous....they run around weariong Naruto headbands as an everyday accessory....we call them Narutards.) When it comes to J-music though, the people there are more into Jrock than Jpop. I'm one of the few Jpop fans there XD (the most Jpop people get there are the ones that watch Pokemon all day and listen to Mini moni *HATES MINI MONI*)

BUt yeah, theres this place called Mitsuwa Market place that they all go to and they have a big area thats all jpop and jrock CDs, magazines, you name it and its ALL authentic Made in Japan, Avex trax labels and all XD It's wonderful. But pricey....BUT WONDERFUL XD

Hawaii? Me too! Except I know a TON of people who are into J-Pop. It's actually pretty accepted here.

Haha, wow, Guam. I live on O'ahu, and it is full of J-Pop lovers. When I look at people's iTunes libraries they almost always have some Utada or Ayumi. It's so accepted here, almost expected And don't you just love all the Japanese tourists? lol Except I always come really close to running them over because they dart out into the street all the time

Here in my country I know that maybe there are 10..20 JPop fans hidden somewhere.. In my city I only know one guy who likes it.

I'm always talking to my friends about JPop and ayumi, and I always show them the most cool songs I know and even that, they don't like it. They always says: "It's cool, but I don't like music I don't understand" or "It's nice, but I don't like music from chinese people", "It's cool, but I don't like music from chinese people that sings hoo-chee-chaw-chin-chong"

Arrrrgggggg.... I hate those racists people from here!!!!!!

Thay always says too: "and who is that Beyonce?", "that ayumi wants to be Britney"............................ T___________________T

Don't they understand that music is universal??? Some of them listen to English music and even can't understand English.....

I live in an Asian country, Vietnam. JPop is a little popular here, but less than anime, but as least I have my best friends listen to JPop. Teenage magazines here have a lot of KPop, CPop and Korean & Chinese actresses and actors articles .

When I went to high school, I show some of my classmates some JPop songs, they don't like them but they understand my love. And now I'm on my 3rd year of university, everyone here like vietnamese or western music, but dress like chinese and korean idols, it's funny. So I don't tell anyone but my close friends and my friends from high school about my love for JPop and anime.

Before I even got into Japanese Music I knew this one girl who I was friends with in High School who liked it. I'm in college now and have yet to meet anyone who I know is into Japanese Music as well. So yeah......as far as I know.....it's just me. Kind of sucks. No one to talk to about stuff but this is a big university so I'm sure there's some others out there.......somewhere who must like it.

Popular enough so that people don't bat an eyelash when browsing through my iPod. Not everyone listens to it, but most people are aware of it.
