Ayu's comments on her hearing

When Ayu disclosed her hearing loss to Team Ayu, she also mentioned she will continue singing until her right ear reaches its limit.
If there was only a problem with her left ear there should be no 'limit' on her right assuming it was looked after. Is she saying this is a condition that will slowly affect ALL of her hearing in time? I hope not.

i forgot the name of the illness but it's speculated that she has an illness that will eventually take out her hearing completely.

I personally think she was more poetical about that. So far it seems like her right ear is perfectly normal, though that's more speculation. No details on her diagnosis were given, though, again if we were to speculate, there's a chance it could have been due to Meniere's disease: the pattern of chronic progression, with periods of worsening, affecting only one ear, associated with tinnitus and vertigo, symptoms she has referred before: http://www.emedicine.com/emerg/topic308.htm

If it is, there's "a slight chance" it could affect the right ear too. Let's hope not though.

Yeah, I agree with Impact. I don't think she was saying that something was wrong with her right ear. I think it was just an expression that meant that even if something starts to happen to that ear, she will continue as well.

If Ayu were to go completely deaf, my life would be so meaningless! The anticipation of going to Ayu's concert...the excitement of Ayu releasing new singles! How well did Ayu's album did! Watching Ayu's performance on TV show...Collecting Ayu's CD! Hearing the latest news about Ayu! ALL GONE!

Thanx for the info...
I've been wondering for awhile now.
Oh god though...I hope Ayu's right ear will be ok. I just wish Ayu wouldn't push herself so much.
I admire her determination though.

i have read on some articles that some specialists and doctors say that for ayu's case, it already affected her left ear but it will not for her RIGHT ear..

i hope the media are just making thing exaggerating...i really hope that ayu's ears situation is not tt worst as we thought...and hopefully there will be a way to cure her left ear...even if it can recovers back only half of it hearing strength

i hope ayu will appear on tv or something to make thing clear...so tt not to worry us so much

I wish she would take a vacation. And not like a two week vacation, I'm thinking a good couple months. She deserves the break.

There's no need it wouldn't make her hearing better or worse anyway....

But the media didn't exaggerate in anything. Her left ear has completely shut off. Everything we know about her hearing loss, was ayu who said it herself.

^LOL acunputure would be totally worthless for that. By the way she mentioned it, it seemed more like she accepted the facts that she won't be hearing with that ear anymore, and that no therapeutic options were really available for her condition at the moment.
