iTunes for Windows

Whether you like Macs or not, Apple truly makes incredible software. I have used their MP3 program iTunes ever since it was first released. It's absolutely amazing and so incredibly convenient, but until now it has only been available for Macs. Today Apple released a Windows version. So now all the Windows people out there can see the quality of programs we Mac users have known for a while now.

iTunes is a really smart, intuitive, feature-filled, and thorough program. It is the best MP3 program out there!

This program is absolutely awesome, and I recommend everyone check it out. Here is the website that lists all of its features. There is also a link on the site to download it for free.

Give it a shot. You'll LOVE it!

hmm... for once, I actually like a Mac product ^^

I wouldn't call it the "end-all, beat-all" player, but it is kinda cool ! I tried playing some hi-bass, hi-energy songs, testing to see if there was some difference from using my normal player, Winamp. Maybe there's some hidden equalizer setting or something, but to me, it actually sounded a bit better than Winamp! I then tested some importing (i.e importing folders with massive collections of songs), and it didn't take that much time (as in... it listed all the properties of the songs in the window), whereas Winamp just shows the title of the track. Now... I'm not exactly a fan when it comes to massive mp3 players taking up the screen, but at least I have the option to minimize iTunes to a small player (I can do the same with Winamp), so that's also a plus!

So overall, I suppose I'm actually impressed with this ! Of course, I've tried other mp3 players out there (WMP, RealOne, etc), which can get a bit cumbersome with trying to be all-in-one players, but iTunes remained as an mp3 player ! So thanks for the link, Grant ! You may have changed my views about Macs just a bit ^^' !

You can minimize it to a very small player, but you can also resize the main big window into a smaller one as well. So you can have very big, very small, or anything in between.

I love iTunes. The playlists are so manageable and the equilizer is awesome! Even using it in the tiny speakers in my iMac make it a noticeable difference.

I'm still a fan of Winamp when I'm using PCs, but iTunes is definately awesome.

I love iTunes too *using it now* I've always had a Mac at home and I've always believed that Macs are superior to Windows machines, especially in graphics software. I think that iTunes being released for Windows is a big step forward in strengthening the relationship between Apple and Windows.

Wow, thanks for sharing this Grantith! iTunes is one of the softwares that almost almost convinced me to get a Mac this summer (but I'm still very happy with my Toshiba Satellite ). This is very cool. Downloading now, can't wait to see what it's got in store!

I tried out this program at school (they only have Macs over there) and it's pretty good. I can actually rip the RAINBOW songs off the cd eventhough it has that copy protect thingy.

I'm trying to install iTunes, but it says that i don't have the virus shield thingy. where can i get that?

I rather like iTunes, and have been using it more then Winamp. Actually, I haven't used Winamp in a little while now. Here's what it looks like:

And playing their sole streaming JPop station (very good quality):

I think Apple did real good with this. ^_^
