Starship makes no sense because the vids have real pirates. I hope a Koda Kumi style ship. What's wrong with copycatting? It's actually pretty cool to have the JPop queens of AVEX share a theme, if you think about it. Like they team up. Maybe a duet will come soon? Lol I hope so.

You have to add SMAP to the list too. Their Sample Bang tour in 2005 was pirate themed as well. I believe that was the first one (in J-Pop at least). Then Kattun, then Koda, now Ayu. (I don't mind though.)

Well, I think it's actually interesting to see different artist take a variation on a same idea. (Pirate theme is hardly the most original thing--doesn't Namie's Play album has a pirate theme too?).

Although from the snippets, it seems like this doesn't really have a lot to do with pirates and mermaid except for one or two songs (Correct me if I'm wrong). Because the Pirate theme is so opened to interpretation (kind of like the different movies where they can be portrayed as "good" or "bad")

I agree. I don't really like GUILTY or Together When..., but I REALLY don't like decision and I've heard is this LOVE? enough times before.

Anyway, the tracklist SUCKS hard. I don't like it at all. All of those GUILTY songs but none of her older older songs in the tracklist. Yet another Ayu tour that I'm not interested in.

Exactly. It was just shocking to me because I had just watched Kuu's concert last night and then got the news about Ayu's. I do hope Ayu's is a lot different though. I'm sure it will be.
