The Introduction of Epik High - Lesson 1!
Welcome to the 1st thread of Epik High! Who are they:About Epik High Epik High is a hip hop group from South Korea, composed of three members - Tablo, Mithra Jin, and DJ Tukutz. All three members of Epik High can sing, write lyrics, and compose and arrange music. Their music has been known to be a "lyrical piece of literature" and "urban poetry", lyric orientated, soulful and often witty while addressing serious social issues such as identity, discrimination, community, unity and change as a whole. Epik High is known for the hit songs "Fly", "평화의 날" (Day of Peace), "I Remember", "Paris" and most recently "Fan". Members Info: Tablo has a Masters Degree from Stanford University (California, USA) where he majored in English Literature and Creative Writing. When he was 17 years old he wrote the song Rainy Christmas with the famous Korean singer 김건모 (Kim Gun Mo). While attending Stanford University, Tablo was part of an underground hip hop group known as 4n Objects, which caught the attention of CB Mass and Drunken Tiger, leading to them eventually offer to support Tablo in releasing a solo album in Korea. Currently, Tablo is gaining immense popularity working as part of the newest Samsung Anycall project Anyband and performs "Talk, Play, Love" and "Promise You" (the two hit numbers of the album that the cellphone campaign released with the explosive popularity of the music video) with Kpop/Jpop stars BoA and Xiah Junsu of DBSK, as well as renowned Korean jazz pianist Jin Bora. "Talk, Play, Love" is said to have been written by him. DJ Tukutz is Epik High's DJ, "the boy with the magic fingers". He started DJing in 1995, and has attended the Technics DJ School in South Korea. He has DJed in not only Korea, but also in Japan at raves, and in America on radio shows, live events and clubs around Boston and NYC. Mithra Jin had been featured on over 11 major albums in Korea even before Epik High's debut. Mithra Jin and Tablo met through the Movement Crew (a collaboration of hip hop artists who are determined to promote social and political awareness through hip hop culture and music), during a freestyle contest in Seoul. Mithra Jin was pursuing a solo career of his own, but with his artistic vision and style matching so well with Tablo's, the two decided to join together. Discography + Download: Spoiler:

All credits to the mods @ Epik Flow My opinion about EH: 'Sup everyone?! Okay, I had to make a thread bout them. They are hott and they need some AHS luv. I got into EH around the summer of last year. I luv the way they flow and music composure. Everytime I hear one of their songs, I get a nice and cool feeling from the songs. Although they use profanity most of time in their songs, their songs are still catchy, fun, poppy, and etc. I highly recommand that you give them a try. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED! Most of you who are familiar with Anyband should know that Tablo was apart of the popular band along with BoA. Please check out their PVs to get a feel of their music. Thankies for ur time and support. ![]() Last edited by Luv ~Venus~; 21st April 2008 at 11:19 PM. |

![]() Hmmm.....try Remapping The Human Soul. That has Emi Hinouchi on it. Plus, it contains many of my fave songs of EH. (Love Love Love, Fan, Fly, Follow the Flow) @Beauty: Since your a pop/little-R&B chic, I suggest u try their song, Fan out first and then Day of Peace and then Fly. ![]() Last edited by Luv ~Venus~; 22nd April 2008 at 12:00 AM. |

^I've only heard One, Falling Flower, One (Remix) and all three are just.....angelic (I can't find a better word to describe them!). I luv the video to One...although Jisae (I think that's her name) spitting up in toilet made my stomach queeze. XD I wouldn't listen to the album until I buy it which won't belong. I kinda have a love/hate thing for the cover though.

^Ya. It was at JPOPSUKI. I'm downloading it now so I can convert it. I hope my converter doesn't **** it up. Sometimes in the beginning, the video is kinda gray and filmy then after the first 5 or so seconds, it disappears. O.O;
That's what happened when I converted 4 Minutes and LIPS. |
