Well after listening to "The Beat Goes On", it is pretty safe to say that the song is bland. The song really didn't pick up anywhere and I feel like Madge either sold out to the whole hip-hop craze or she's just out of ideas. I really hate the beginning of the song too where she's talking with the whole "lets do something different", this song is probably the least unique thing she has ever done. If this is a single I'm going to die haha Madonna can do a lot more... she should have ditched Pharrell after "Hey You". Let's hope that this is just a left over demo because it pales in comparison to 98% of what Madonna has already done.

Wow, this is HORRIBLE. And the vocals are incredibly awful, even for Madonna standards. I may not always like her voice, or her lyrics, but she usually at least puts out something that is remotely catchy. This is just awful! |

EDIT: Nevermind. Found it streaming online here. Hmm...I've decided I'd really like the song much better if it were only Madonna singing. *shrug* It's nothing spectacular or ground-breaking, but it kind of is a bit different for Madonna...in a way...sort of...kinda...*clears throat*

I just heard her single "The Beat Goes On", it was.. very not-so-Madonna-ish.
"Confessions On The Dancefloor" is one of my Best Album of 2005. I'm looking forward to her new album, since everytime when she got a new stuff released, she always surprise me.

You know, the "On and on and on the beat goes" line has a lot of potential, it's pretty much the most catchy (not to say the only) part of the whole song. They could make something nice out if this - throw away all the rest and build something again coming out from the chorus line.
I also like it when the song fades away, the closing sounds really nice.
