If you didn't try out ULTRA BLUE, definitely get that. HEART STATION is basically an evolved version of ULTRA BLUE. More refined and matured and the like. Cheers.

Well actually she was the first jpop artist I ever heard, but I guess I just wasnt drawn to her music back then. I heard ULTRA BLUE and didnt like it back then, I'll give it a shot thanks

Oh jeez....that was never confirmed. I think it was just a huge rumor. Unless she somehow is keeping it for a future release. But it might be true considering it is one of her fav foods xD

she has some good songs in there although the lyrics are a different thing altogether

I like About You which's practically the only non R&B song & ballad on the album .

Stuff like Hotel Lobby , Animato , Devil Inside , Easy Breezy are great too

Exodus is a great album... and with tracks like You Make Me Want to be a Man, Kremlin Dusk and Animato you will understand how Hikki's music evolved to what we hear now

hmm exodus album quite good, but you should start from her japanese album, I really like dareka no negai ga kanau koro and be my last.. nice trying

Yeah, I'd say start with a Japanese album first (DISTANCE!). EXODUS is kind of a shocker, it's quite different from her other CDs. But it does have some amazing songs. My favourites are "You Make Me Want To Be A Man", "Animato", "Hotel Lobby", "The Workout", "Tippy Toes" and "About Me." You can't go wrong with those.

EXODUS was a shocker for me musically & also lyrics wise but it's still a good listen

errr.... EXODUS is a nice Album... i like the songs... except... hmmm... Tippy Toe... It's not that i hat it... it's just that it doesn't reaLLy grow into me now matter how i try to Like it..

Exodus never enters my heart except a few songs. I actually find myself quite weird cuz as a fan since First Love I should be in love with almost every single hikki material.

I guess her English lyrics quite throw me off, esp with the starting choice (You're easy breezy and I'm ja-pan-ni-see).. Hikki is a talent girl who writes philosophic lyrics (e.g., Deep River.. gosh it's such a great song). Utada is a weird girl writing something I dun really understand..

(I paused a bit after writing the last sentence.. and LOL). But really her English lyrics can't compared with her Japanese ones, such as riozz's fav Dareka, Deep River, letters, and a lot more.


Back on HS.. It's still no. 4 today . It's good to see this album still on top 5 after 7 weeks or so. UB has been out of top 5 already since week 7 and the sales went downhill after week 8 (like.. less than 9000 and afterwards less than 6000 or so). I have confident that HS will be selling at least 15K - 20K this week.

well you can't compare it with (m)u rite? usually I dun really compare hikki and ayu sales because hikki tends to have higher sales than ayu does (comparison within the same year). (m)u was quite unfortunate because I believe that it would have been another million seller IF ayu didn't release B&D/Pride beforehand. I assume lots of people got scared away from this bold movement. If B&D was just an album song people might find it... freshy? . Looking at that year, ayu's singles sales were pretty strong.. STEP you 2 weeks no. 1, fairyland + HEAVEN both got no. 1 as well... every single (except B&D) got over 320K sales in the end I think. I was expecting a better result until the flop of B&D...

Same goes to hikki. I was expecting UB to be a million seller, but once I knew that it only got 500K on the first week, my dream was broken... .

maybe because I didn't listen to Utada's older works that's why EXODUS sat pretty well with me musically & then some

I still feels that (m)u is 1 of ayumi's most experimental albums to date . It's a shame that not many people like B&D judging from sales alone but to me it's 1 of her best works that she has put out

I have heard the originals by Sweetbox in which ayumi sampled 6 of Sweetbox's tunes & I honestly can say that Sweetbox's original rendition's of B&D is not fantastic

in fact I find it really weak & bland & it can't match up to ayumi's one .
