^ lol I hope so =) ~! Although its a re-cut single, she definitely deserves it =)~ I hope they can both hit 50k by the end of this week ~ hopefully the japanese citizens will splurge their money during the weekend ^__^ ~! GO AI and HIKKI. I hate how hikki fans don't tend to buy her single so much @_@ it really annoys me lol. Especially during her Ultra Blue - Era. I was so upset from her sales ~! and HS/Stay gold too. @_@

That wasn't the point ^^, I was just saying that Ai has put much more effort into her single starting from the covers, the PV, and it has two brand new songs, while Hikki's is quite the opposite, the only thing it has is once again a drama tie-in, which was the reason it was released. As if it wasn't for the "quiet" version I don't think she would do it. I still like Prisoner of Love better than Rocket Sneaker, I am just not ok with the way Hikki is doing business the last 2 years.

^ For real. I like boy bands sometimes but I'm so tired of them selling oodles more than people who actually put work and thought and creativity into their music. All the boy bands do is sing and dance and "be pretty" or whatever, and occasionally write lyrics and even more rarely write the music. And frankly, I don't even think any of their looks make up for their mediocre singing and dancing.

Honestly, it really pisses me off when people bash boybands. I don't understand why you all think that they don't deserve the top spots anymore than Hikki or Ayu or Kuu or whatever. Seriously, just leave it alone. If they get the top spot then they must be doing something to deserve it then. Right?

No, not really. They get the top spots because teenage fans love them and are willing to buy several copies of their releases just to get Jin and Kame's solo or whatever.

And I'm saying this as a Jin/Junno/Jimmy fan. I used to love KAT-TUN but I refuse to buy their CDs now because I don't think it's fair to make people buy three versions of something just to get every song and PV and whatnot.

^Well you must not understand somethings. Boybands don't only have teenage fans, but the older aunties love them too. If you watch the Utaban episode with TVXQ, the audience was littered with aunties. But boybands aren't the only ones who release four or five different versions of things. HELLO?! Mirrorcle World?!

And that obviously didn't work out.

You can not like boybands or whatever, but don't say that they don't deserve the number one spot. It seriously pisses me off.

The Oricon thread should be free of all "deserves"/"doesn't deserve" talk. This is just going to piss people off, and there's no such thing as one artist who deserves sales more than another.

Uh, I didn't say I don't like boy bands. In fact, if you read my post earlier, I said "I like boy bands sometimes". And Mirrorcle World was the first time she released a different versions with different songs, not the 92385902385023th.

Well, I too much don't care if they take over the single charts as they don't sell well in the album divison. As for the fans part, we can't bash the JE fangurls because they want to buy several copies of the same single with different pics. It's not JE's fault either. When u look at it that way, that's like saying we should blame the Ayu fans for buying several copies of Craptastic World. =/ We can't help what people like....so, u know.

I do agree with you Tom that it does seem like whatever a JE boyband puts out they will sell regardless. You have to look at this way too, they was a time when whatever Hikki, Ayu, and Namie released something and it sold like crazy in just one week. So, what's wrong with JE having the same type of success?! =/
