What's your favorite RURUTIA albumso far?
So this thread refers to both full-length albums and minialbums. I left out 'Umezu Kazuo Kyoufu Gekijou RURUTIA Tracks' because it's just a bunch of instrumentals basically but I'm putting an 'other' option for future releases (hey threads get bumped up all the time lol). So yeah...I've listened to almost all the albums but I'm still trying to get used to 'Meme' and I haven't gotten to 'R' yet, but my favorite album so far is 'Water Forest'....the songs on that album are phenominal IMO. So what about you guys?
Oh and sorry if a thread like this was already made...it's just when I used the search thingy pages and pages of stuff came up so I got too lazy to look through them xD! EDIT: Sorry for the title btw, I didn't realize I forgot to put a space between 'album' and 'so' xD. Last edited by CHE.R.RY; 11th May 2008 at 08:43 PM. |

I haven't listened to them all yet, but so far my fave is Meme ^__^ I love almost all the songs on it and it has a nice variety of dreamy ballads and ethereal up-beatish songs :3 PLUS, it has Chou no Mori, which I could just put on repeat forever xDD

I voted for Water Forest, but I'm not really sure lol. I always thought her best were Water Forest and Promised Land. Promised Land is AMAZING, so it would have to be a REALLY close second.
But then again, lately I've started to SERIOUSLY fall in love with R. It's just... genius. Gin no Honoo, Itoshigo Yo, Lost Butterfly, Bokura no Hako ni wa, Chie no mi... are all favorites of mine (though my all-time favorite is still Shine damn that song is beautiful.)Oh, and there's also Opus. That mini-album is genius. The title track is GORGEOUS, and from the little bit I understand of the lyrics, it's also just so freaking poethic. Ryuukou was first love ever since I heard it, and Hoshi to Hane is SERIOUSLY depressive/creepy lol, and I love it for that. Plus, the music box version of Ryuukou is like, OHMYGOD. So....... it's seriously hard >____< I don't know!!! XD I just know my least favorite is Meme lol XD the only songs I like from that album are Chou no Mori, Selenite and Rira ga Chittemo... |

...it's just so beautiful to me lol. I need to listen to 'Promised Land' again because I can't remember if I liked it so much, but it's funny cuz I love 'Meme' lol! It's my second fav album followed by either 'Opus' or 'R'. I'm still getting used to 'R' but I agree that 'Itoshigo yo' and 'Gin no Honoo' are gorgeous but I'm also inlove with 'Elements'. That song sounds so much like Enigma and it rocks!

My favorite song is also from WF
(like I said, Shine )And yeah, I TOTALLY forgot about Elements! True, true! It's a really amazing song. And creepy lyrics hahaha. Promised land has Hallelujah, Arabesque, Träumerei, Tsuki Sen'ichiya (my first RURUTIA song!) & Maururu Roa, which are all really mind-blowing songs. BTW, since you're "discovering" R right now, I have to say: listen to Bokura no Hako ni wa! It's one of the more "normal" songs in the album, but I love it so much haha. The melody from the chorus is genius *has the song on repeat right now* Oh, and do you follow her lyrics translations? Kiwi Musume has all of her full albums translated, up until Chorion. Make sure to look up the Chie no Mi lyrics, they're wonderful. EDIT: BTW what's "Enigma"? |

), and 'ABINTRA'. I might've read some more but I can't remember. Oh and yeah nvm, I have listened to that album fully! I liked it alot -my fav songs were: 'Hallelujah', 'Träumerei', 'Giselle', 'Nagareboshi', and 'Gola'. I think I liked 'Maururu Roa' but I can't remember since it's been a month or two since I've last listened to the album. LOL I prefer Rurutia's strange/mysterious material, but 'Bokura no Hakoniwa' is a very nice song. I also really liked 'Boku no Uchuu Kimi no Umi' -it was very beautiful. Oh and Enigma is a group from France made up of I think one woman and 3 or 4 men. They're music is very interesting...it's a little more on the weird side but it sounds similar to some of Rurutia's stuff (such as 'pavane' and 'Elements'). I'm not that into them but they're kind of cool -my mom's actually the one who listens to them. If you wanna read up on them some more then I suggest you go here :http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enigma_...cal_project%29 Last edited by CHE.R.RY; 3rd June 2008 at 12:35 AM. |
