^well HMV staff told me that they had to pay for the taxes and the fees for a japan cd, that's why they have to sell it that high to earn back the money.

They told me that all japan version cd are sold at least 25% higher then the listed price(japanese yen) on the cd

I saw Ami Suzuki's DOLCE album selling for $93 :O :O

that's like the most expensive priced album I saw ever & somemore it comes without the DVD O_O

That's fantastically ex. Usually for niched singers or albums that have been around for awhile, they price it at $70+ and those new releases would be around $50+. But i managed to buy domoto koichi's album 'mirror' (jpn vers) for less than $30. That was weird cos there were 2 sections. 1 was the usual $52.90 pricing the other was $29.90. When i checked for defects, there weren't any...

I think the Memorial Address CD only has been there forever! I saw it years ago at $49 and i've been seeing the same dusty copy ever since.

@karenpang: FINAL FANTASY CDS ARE EXPENSIVE TOO.. T^T its like. 107 for a SOUNDTRACK that probably costs 50 online -_-

I had my friend buy C version long slipcase for me in japan but she couldn't find it so she bought the normal version by default which made me a little unhappy. But looking around singapore, i realize the long slipcase is everywhere! Is it limited in singapore and hongkong too? Anyway, i'm feeling lots better about my fatty case now!

not sure about the limited in S'pore & HK issue but I have a feeling that Warner SG probably imported the long slipcases of MW over from HMV HK cos I don't think they manfacture & distribute singles of any Japanese artistes

according to avex taiwan, the longslipcase is limited. Once these are sold out, there will be in normal cases

Yeah but obviously the 'limited' hype is undertoned compared to Japan. According to my friend, they're running out of the "with DVD" version, never mind the long slipcase. Sort of like how we have sales all year round =p
