As long as the song title, artist and album are all right, I could care less about everything else =/ Oh, and I like to have the cover art attached, but I'm not as OCD about that(I was, at one point I just went and put a cover on everything XD)

More so for song titles...like using Ayu as an axample "Step You" is a major nono. It has to be "STEP you" !

If there is something in my iTunes which is slightly incorrectly tagged, I have to tag it instantly, I always like to see my music with the correct tags.

There only reason i have about 6 or 7 last.fm accounts is because i played a song that is tagged wrong

But i've been busy lately and i haven't properly tagged any of the new stuff i dl'ed so i don't play it at all LOL.

When the tag is somehow incorrect or too long (with all the insignificant descriptions), I change or edit it. The more organized, the better.

I am ridiculous about how my music is tagged and ordered, and yet I freak out if I have too much of a 'clutter' in between albums. For an artist like Ayumi this creates a problem as she has a crap ton of singles and remix albums, so if the artist has a lot of stuff (but I don't want it to interfere with their main discog) I'll have their albums tagged under their name (first name, last name) and everything else tagged under the opposite way (last name, first name).

.. And then I go and change this every few months for no apparent reason :|

I just got out of a phase where EVERYTHING had to have album art for it. x_x I won't pretend that wasn't a chore.

I FINALLY figured out how to fix my tags properly. There's that thing called "Advanced Tag Editor" that I totally forgot about... lol.

I can't seem to find that! I feel stupid ^^;

OMG YES! i go crazy whenever my tags are off, i hate pinyin chinese artist's names @_@ drives me nuts, the tags must be perfect in itunes and in my external hard drive, if the song is in pinyin, i change it too..and i make sure no song is doubled space for example 01. Daybreak, must have one space and i'm obsessed with putting the album artwork too

I don't really care. As long as they have the artist and title of the song and album, that's all that matters for me. I just want to be able to find it. I'm one of those people who have three different Ayumi artists on their ipod, I have Hamasaki Ayumi, Ayumi Hamasaki, and then 浜崎あゆみ. I even have "Ayu in concert"/

I retag everything but they aren't perfect, like, I have the song name right, the album name right and the singers/bands name right and track number right and everything else I delete from the tag. I also MUST have the covers for all my songs and I do , one in the folder of the album/single and one embeded into the tag , but my tags aren't perfect because I neglect featurings like if a song features another artist, I just erase the whole ft. part . Like an example would be: Its not "That Ain't Cool ft. Fergie" its just "That Ain't Cool"

I'm going through that right now. It's such a pain! But I still feel compelled to do it

UGH YES. It's become so bad I've completely converted my 7.1GB library about 4 times this year. At first I used whatever was given on Wikipedia/ThePPN, then I started using Ｊａｐａｎｅｓｅ　ａｌｐｈａｎｕｍｅｒｉｃ because of my Last.fm and now capitilisation and grammar are a must. I have lots of silly little rules.
