I'm not mad! 3 of my comments were positive, and 2 were negative. That's not bad I just am disappointed in Leah... and I'm glad GReeeN and Ketsumeishi beat ayaka because they're great... and she's not.

I am gonna support your anti-ayaka post XD I like some of her ballads, but the fact that she can't make diverse and different music is annoying. I think she has a great and powerful voice but is wasting it on crap songs ^^.

I think you haven't really listened to her songs because ayaka is definitely not one of those ballad-singer types. D: Try For today or CLAP&LOVE to test her more upbeat stuff.

she's just not some artsty farty flash in the pan kinda artiste

it's not that but I realise for the new songs , you need a bit more time to adjust/listen to unlike the ones on First Message where I can adapt to them more easily

I like quite a bit of music that most people find boring here... BoC, Remioromen, Kobukuro, aiko, etc., but ayaka really does put me to sleep. I dunno why!

Really? I think it's the opposite. Songs on Sing to the Sky hooked me instantly. Like on some of them, the moment the music started I knew I would LOVE it.
And I definitely feel that this album has more variety than First Message does...

I liked I believe, Eien no monogatari, blue days, Mikazuki, Jewelry Day, CLAP & LOVE/Why, Te wo tsunagou and thats pretty much it. And I prefered the live versions of most of the songs, as somehow she sounds less boring live. I gave first message too many tries and it simply never grew on me. Sing to the sky was just far too boring to handle (and I am one of the rare people who enjoyed Shimatani's most boring ballads and jazzy songs...)

All I know is that Sing to the Sky is an amazing album, one of the year's best and i really have found new love for ayaka. I'll admit almost all of the single tracks needed time to grow on me but the album tracks hooked me from first listen.

Truth be told, I listened to First Message because the cover was so pretty
