I think it's almost impossible to beat a JE band first week...unless KissHug is the new POL. Hopefully she can pull a Namie and get #1 second week.

Well, unless this is a huge single, HSJ might struggle to hit #1. Their sales aren't very good, especially compared to KAT-TUN who debuted less than 2 years before HSJ. If aiko can pull off 150k the first week she might have a chance at beating HSJ (and I really hope they do).

Well, since HSJ has even worse sales than Kanjani8 and this is a huge tie-in for aiko, I'd say this is her best chance of ever beating a JE group.

That was interesting. You don't see that much movement between two days that often. :O Perfume needs to pick it up and Ikimonogakari needs to be steady. D:

aiko.. I think she'll miss the top spot, that tie-in isn't a sure-fire guarantee. I mean, FOL was heard by millions and millions of people, and liked by many, but in comparison, aiko's song is heard by just over 2 million people at least. It's all down to the fact if they like it. I'm sure that this single will have more longevity than the normal aiko single, though.

A second week #1 is out of the question as well, seeing as July 30 has releases by Mr.Children and Aladdin [Shuchishin [sp?] + Pabo].

that's true . HSJ's sales are not as fantastic as their JE counterparts

aiko should have released KissHug like now since HYD Final is still airing in the cinemas of Japan in a bid way to cash in & drum up more sales

might be a bit too late when KissHug is released on 23rd though

But HSJ also has a pretty big movie tie-in. Their new single is going to be the theme song for Kung Fu Panda, which was pretty huge over here, plus it's a Western movie. So they'll probably get the number one. And aiko will most likely be number two. But then again, HYD F is doing really well for Arashi, so aiko might get the number 2 and HSJ the 1st place.
