honestly I'm relieved that the remix album has been shelved indefinite regardless whether the decision was due to scandal or no scandal

because I'm not really a remix person to begin with & somemore I think sales will suck if she were to put out 1

I'm glad it was cancelled too. I'm tired of these BESTS with no real purpose...B&L served no purpose CD wise, but the DVD was great.

Kevin I heard that she put out B&L because she wanted to do a ballad album for the longest time ever

If that's true, I'm glad she got what she wanted buttt...I dunno, didnt feel B&L had much of a purpose. Much of the ballads I like aren't even on it sooo...of course Rain is just AWESOME! Why didn't they include Yume no Uta / Futari de... [one of them], that single was a hit

And didn't she say like the album was more of a collector's item? Or someone said that I think...

I mean the cover art was the bomb and I was gonna buy it either way but...it just felt like they were trying to milk the whole BEST thing...if she wanted to do a ballad album, it would've been better as like a ballad mini-album or something....with new songs [besides Ashita e...]

I think in a way Rhythm Zone wanted to cash in the fact that since BUT/Aishou & her live tour '06 DVD were gonna be released in the same week at that time they probably think why not throw in an album in the mix to be released too .

Not sure for the whole collector's item issue but I think there were limited pressings of the album which attribute to the low sales of B&L as compared to the enormous sales that the 1st 2 best albums ranked up .

The cover art doesn't really work with the album but it's one of the most eye-catching Kumi album covers IMO
I feel like the BEST album was kinda weird cause they included some B-sides [Saigo no Ame and...the Butterfly one ] but they didn't include ANY Black Cherry ballads. And the remaking of you and 1000 no Kotoba...wasn't really necessary.

I think more of it was that the two BEST albums had something going for them. BEST ~first things~ got to ride on the success of Butterfly, which attracted a lot of people. BEST ~second session~ had hits like you and feel, plus it wasn't really as much of a BEST [at least to me anyway]

for BEST SS - yeah it doesn't really feel like a best album . Damn Rhythm Zone wanna cash in the Koda fever that was raging at that time & it consolidated all the 12 singles collection too which worked .

I consider BEST FT to be more of a best album . BEST SS - not really .

That's crazy. I mean, if they would release it this year that would be impossible. Because then there would be 1 single on the album which is, IMO, impossible.

kumi already released BEST ~BOUNCE&LOVERS~ last year, so her next compilation album should be with remixes or b-sides.
