I have phases like that, but it's not like I can diconnect myself that easily. I've been listening for about 10 years straight already (mind that I'm only 16), but I do see how you don't get as excited anymore.

If anything, I would look up older artists I do know (globe, Kahala Tomomi, Aikawa Nanase) and try out older stuff. It usually trumps the newer stuff. Especially old Amuro Namie and Utada Hikaru.
