Anyway, I prefer "FINAL DISTANCE" over "DISTANCE" any and everyday.

I actually never caught a great liking to "Dareka No Negai Ga Kanau Koro." It's okay, but even so, it took me some time to accept it as a song I could at least say I actually liked a little bit. It's just okay for me. I do like "Be My Last" though. I love the parts where she flows up and down and the "Ahhs" in between lines during the Verses and the end of the Verses where she sings the very long note, especially after the first Verse. That song takes a lot of breath to sing as well. I don't care for the Music Video though. Not that I care for the "Dareka No Negai Ga Kanau Koro" Music Video either but I do like it better than the "Be My Last" Music Video......I think.......

I've been into Hikaru Utada for a very long time. I remember when First Love came out and I truly loved it...

Once I got my hands on DEEP RIVER I was smitten. I felt like it was her best album. The story telling throughout the entire thing was consistant and felt like a fantasy adventure.

I did lose interest with her ULTRA BLUE album. I felt that there were songs on there that were not consistant to the next and that it was her going through another experimental phase to find new direction. Thus the beauty of Heart Station, don't like Boku wa Kuma though... Girl seemed to have a few screws loose during that time.

Favorite ballads from her are: FINAL DISTANCE, First Love, DEEP RIVER, her live cover of U2's With or Without You.

darekoro's not a bad PV, took me a while to appreciate it.

My favourite Kazu PVs are traveling, Be My Last and Keep Tryin'. I love me some colours, and I love the saturation he used for Be My Last. The thing made me cry first time I saw it.

A lot of people thought FOL was a return to form for Hikki in the sense that it was a lot like her older ballads, I remember a friend being like, oh she's doing this again? I like it!

Ironically, took me forever to enjoy it although I really liked the verses.

I do admit I didn't like the ballad version of FOL that much until I heard the original which led me to realise that the ballad version sounds waay better than the original

& after watching the 2nd season of HYD , it made me appericate FOL even more than before

especially in the last episode when the song was played , my god

I never found HYD2 to be a particularly emotional show (most of the time I just laughed at it), but FOL actually made the scenes much more emotional. I think the show definitely benefited from having that song played during certain parts. It made the whole series much more sad and heartbreaking than "Planetarium" did for the first season.

well you do have to admit that in general the plot for HYD2 is silly & will make a sane person go insane in the real world but I think the last episode where FOL cropped up , it's real touching & it's like FINALLY both of them in the show stopped going around in circles
