so how long has sifow "supposedly" been working on the school~ could it just be a excuse to stop singing i hope not~ but what is the school for, to teach you how to be a gyaru? a school just for gyarus to belong...won't she need like permission from japan to start such a school?

It's like a trade school. Since gyarus have a reputation of not finishing high school or going to college to obtain a degree, she decided to set up a trade school to teach gyaru skills that they can use to get a job and support themselves (I'm assuming this is like, hair and nail design, make-up, etc, sort of like cosmetology school?)

And yeah, I'm pretty sure another major reason she's not putting out any new music is because Avex totally dropped her/cancelled her contract.

Ah, thanx for clearing that up. I've been a little fuzzy on the details of the actual goal of the school. But oh no! I hope she hasn't been dropped from Avex although it wouldn't surprise me in the least. She just wasn't charting nor selling unfortunately .

i doubt avex dropped her this year. she sold poorly last year, and yet, she was still on the label. i hardly hear of avex dropping an artist too.

From an interview with sifow, she says that her school is going to teach gals about information technology, the music industry and entertainment. Kinda random of me, but I saw someone ask what her school would teach, and I wanted to get the sifow thread active again.

Someone with some good Japanese skill could just straight out ask her if she will be returning to music even though she is busy with her school project. And like, asking her an estimated date, because her western fans love her music lol

The definition of Information Technology from Wiki: the study, design, development, implementation, support or management of computer-based information systems, particularly software applications and computer hardware. Gals should know this, in case their computer breaks down when they are in the middle of typing a blog entry

Music, I think wouldbe teaching about the business, how it operates, how to promote yourself, the different positions, how songs are made, that sort of thing.

Entertainmet, I think would be becoming something like a model or actress, or helping with those kinds of jobs.

LOL, I doubt they would teach math.

I think that the school would be in Tokyo, since that is the area with the most gals. I think its supposed to be up by 2010. Wow, the year 2010 seems to futuristic. Like we should all be driving in hover cars

She'll just become Onee-Gyaru, which is the sexy look for older gals. I think that gals are considered and start dressing Onee-Gyaru at the age of 23, because in Ranzuki, which is a gyaru mag for those who don't know, and one model, Tamochin, left Ranzuki when she turned 23, and started modeling for Es Poshh! which is for Onee-Gyaru. But I'm not 100% sure.

I don't know. I'd guess maybe 30. However, even if they stop calling themselves gals, I think that they will almost always have a taste for the style.
