And this year is not the "out of the public eye" thing I'm talking about, I mean NOTHING, no tours, no promotion, no tv, no nothing.... maybe a TA message every now and then to insinuate a big surprise, and then she comes out with a hit single or something after several months to a year with other surprises envolved. That's what I mean.

Yea, I know what you mean. Wasn't Hikki pretty much gone between Deep River and ULTRA BLUE? And ULTRA BLUE didn't sell that much so I don't think it helped much.

Just mentioning that since I've noticed that as Ayu doesn't do anything, I sort of just stop caring about this forum.

well..even if ayu does disappear for a year, the ayu chat room will still have new threads, everything else will still be the same, probably just the news thread will empty~

What would happen? The news section would be a deserted island for like a year, and the Chat Room would be full of speculation and people wondering wtf happened to Ayu and haters coming in saying that Ayu failed and is now off on an exiled destined journey or w/e..

And I do like the people here. Not all of them, but enough to make me want to stay after the "storm" if Ayu were to quit for a year.

Sales was in there somewhere xD; I guess it got lost! But yeah, I think it would be intersting, I'm not sure if it would help or hurt sales, like someone mentioned, it didnt' help Utada Hikaru.... but she doesn't release as fast & furious as Ayu either.

Oh, I know that.

Sales don't really care either and neither do I! LOL. I just wanted to mention it since I'd totally not come here as often as I do now.

Actually i preferred my story and (m)u tours where most of the songs performed were from the new album. I know some of you say that for the secret tour she performs 7 album songs or whatever but that's including interludes! Since when does that count? In my story, she performed 11/14 album tracks and (m)u, 10/13. What happened to that ratio? Secret was 4/11. And it's called tour of secret. Go figure.

Maybe what would be nice is if she did an A Museum style concert tour especially now that A Complete was released. If she does a tour on the new album, it should have more of the new album's songs.

Back to topic on sales, hopefully sunday's sales will be higher than saturday since probably more people don't work on a sunday than saturday. I think her 2nd week sales have been somewhat dismal

She'll probably have an A COMPLETE concert some time down the road, which I have high hopes for. It's sad to think that one day she'll stop being on top of the industry, but at least it's not today. Right now, I can't think of anyone usurping Ayumi's "empress" position - Utada Hikaru has sales and Namie has popularity, but neither has Ayumi's particular "it" quality.

I'm holding onto hope that A COMPLETE will eventually surpass its studio album peers - maybe it'll have a great chart life (always possible).

I'm sure it will break a million down the line. (Miss)understood did by 2007, and based on what users have said, A Complete is doing better.

And I adore both covers of (miss)understood. Don't see anything wrong with them.

Considering that A COMPLETE sold more than guilty and is almost as much as Secret and it's in 2nd week, I think it's too early to say that it isn't selling much more than her Studio albums.

I mean, GUILTY charted for what? 16 weeks? Secret maybe longer but considering that A COMPLETE is getting over 600K in its second week, it's a pretty decent amount. It's charting pretty similarly to (M)U second week.

I think you should try to read some of the comments that peope gave that account for the current sales of AC...

I've learnt to accept the fact that AC is already doing quite, or very well.

Not always. Hikki's Single Collection sold less than her first 3 studio albums.
AC ~AS~ already surpassed GUILTY and it will surpass Secret by tomorrow or two more days.
It also has a chance to surpass (miss)understood (because it has higher 2 first weeks).
