It makes no sense, but I still like it~ ♥
The rest of this song is all Engrish-y~
Oh! Actually I think that makes sense, it's just a really obscure reference to a children's story. The Gingerbread Man is constantly outrunning people who want to eat him (because he's a cookie come to life) and is known to say, "Run, run run, as fast as you can! You can never catch me, I'm the Gingerbread Man!"

It's not really a well known story so it's okay that you think it doesn't make sense (I only know about it because I read a parody of the story when I was a kid) but I'm *really* surprised that TOHOSHINKI would reference it D:

As for Utada's "I want your baby" bit - that line always bugged the hell out of me. I'm just like "o_o Hikki that's one way of getting a guy's attention...."

As for Engrish lines, there's some REAL gems in Dir en grey songs (I know they aren't JPop but it's too good not to mention these), most of them laden with expletives. I'll try to pull the most clean of them and show them here:

"I can't co-exist in the fabricated society with a crowl." I have no idea what a crowl is supposed to be... A crow? A crawl? A... what? x_x

"Kill myself
If you can't tell, then you're a hypocrite too, so die!!
Kill them all with the crazy hammer
And destroy their thought
Get hysterical"

The crazy hammer. lolwut.

^ that depends. if it's followed by another word (special love, special dear, special friend, etc.) then it's acceptable, but if it's just "you're my special" it sounds really awkward...

Man I love engrish. It's always so funny. For example Koda's song, Twinkle ~english version~ is so hilarious I'm always like "wut? O_O What's she singing about?"

I always hear that "Clap your hands" part as "Grab your hands" form. So hilarious.

Ai Otsuka's engrish is most hilarious thing I have ever heard imo. I don't remember what song it was, but it was that song she sang entirely in english. It was horrible. I listened to half of the song before I even realized it was english.

But I love Koda's english most anyway. It's so cute~ <3

What does Every Wind mean anyways?

Yes, Mika says c*nt but what's weirder is when she says cat, it's muffled.

I think the "I want your baby" line is Hikki's way of expressing her love. Like she loves him so much that the thought of having a family with this guy is something she can't for.

It might be a mis-spelling of the word cowl, which is a hood/mask.

Last edited by Zahara; 27th December 2008 at 07:53 AM. Reason: mis-spelling
