No! The single probably won't get released world wide ^^ (though I guess maybe they'll release it digitally), Simple&Clean wasn't considered Hikki's US debut and it was fully sang in English. Ayu had theme songs for games and animes that were released world wide before.

I wonder what this does to Ayu's release schedule.

Will Rule be a single, and this movie used as promotion for the single which will then be released in March?

Or will the song just be on Ayu's next album, and the movie could be promotion for her album? Which means a new album around march~april.

I very much doubt this song will be played over the US credits anyway. I'm sure she's just doing the theme for the Japanese release of the movie.

well, for me it wasn't something I was expecting at all but I do think this is pretty cool news. It 's a movie I have been looking forward to for a while but I just don't think an ayu song really fits with dragonball. I do think a male vocalist would have been better.


I also think that she is going to come out with a new full/mini album around that time and she will use that song to help promote it, but this song could just be a different project and have nothing to do with a new album. We will just have to wait and see.

^ was it? I only read the initial post and the last page, though, so if it was announced in the 13 pages between, I have no idea.

I can't imagine a US-released movie featuring a Japanese pop song during its credits regardless.

this movie MIGHT not be so bad as i tought by seeing the old trailers!



now for some people that don't really pay attention to what they read in the first post, and are asking the same question a milion times (and getting on my nervs by doing so), here's another quote, this time from the DBEvolution blog:

Ayumi Hamasaki, 30, will sing the theme song for Hollywood film “Dragonball Evolution” which is based on Japan’s popular manga “Dragonball” series. Hamasaki will release an original song, “Rule,” for the live-action version film which will be released in Japan on March 13. The release date for the song will be announced later.
