I love it! I think it'll fit in okay cuz it sounds something like a love ballad by Ne-yo. It's catchy and has a nice beat.

The song is too typical. xD I guess that's what people wanted though, a more mainstream sound. I think there's a thirst for original sound at the moment, so I dunno. XD That layout on the UTADA site reminds me of Flavor of Life. :B

OMG I LOVE IT! I'm in love with the song right now. Oh Hikki, great job this time around! You'll definitely gather more fans with this mainstream song. I'm going to request it like crazy when it begins air play, YOU SHOULD ALL TOO~!

Anyone else hate how Hikki changes what she's all about in her US songs? It's like....so fake. Her Japanese songs have all these domestic, honest feelings about "turn off the TV and look only at me" (hikari) or "when I see my weak face in the mirror, I want to smash it" (keep tryin'). Then her US songs are full of all this superficial, overdone crap like "boy, you're so hot, let's turn this room into a melting pot" or the "I cheated" BS in this song. I know those subjects are popular in US music, but come on. It's not her at all.

The fact that Hikki said herself that she was able to write stuff like that in her US songs because she wasn't able to in her JP songs mean anything to you?

She said herself she couldn't write lyrics like that in her Japanese songs because they sounded silly.

An artist can have more than one side. Exodus had very few lyrics like that anyways.

btw; I wonder if she wrote this song to her Husband?

Edit;;// not trying to be rude or attackful; but that is coming from Hikki herself.

Hikki said herself that she couldn't write lyrics like these in Japan. They just didn't fit there. So now she's showing her other side to the US.

They sound silly in her English songs too

I said in the poll thread, I really really did not want her to do this, but I did kind of expect her too.

A little disappointed, but I hope the album will be much better.

What's going to happen when she does upbeat songs though?

Is she going to dance like Beyonce or be sexy like Rihanna?

I mean...that would just be wierd.

Where is she going to fit in on the musical scale.

Right now, all I feel like she's good at is R&B ballads, which are boring imo...but I guess okay...

I dunno, I liked the lyrics for this one. I was able to identify with it and think it was very beautiful and very touching.

Emiko, I imagine Hikki's gonna do a Keyshia Cole and just move to beat and throw her hands up in the air.

Kokoro...I can't imagine her in a leotard. It's just not right to think like that even if does sound hot.

I like the song, but man that middle section and her singing/high notes were pretty bad. It's catchy though, hopefully it'll do well.

^Ia. That's the only problem I had with the song. 2004 Hikki would've nailed this song amazingly well.

IT'S GORGEOUS

deep inside my rational me is telling me it's quite a regular R&B ballad, still a lot better than average, but not that special.

BUT MY INNER FANBOY DOMINATES RIGHT NOW, OMG NEW HIKKI MATERIAL AND I LOOOOOVE IT

imma put this on repeat until the next thing releases XD

Sorry, I never read that particular interview. Geez, what does that say about English pop music if such lame, superficial lyrics "don't sound silly"? I guess that's a discussion for another time.

Hikki is certainly entitled to portray herself however she wants...I just don't like it, lol. Exodus had at least 5 songs with purely stupid lyrics, which is 5 too many in my book. Heck, that line about "mixing gene pools" in "Let Me Give You My Love" brought enough stupid to fill 3 albums. I actually loved that album when it came out; although I didn't think it was any kind of amazing artistic accomplishment, I listened to it nonstop. It was like a drug. Which is why after some time, I was left with this almost "blah" feeling....it was addicting, but in the end, it was like eating too much candy. No real substance to it.

Anyway, this is just one person's opinion. =) Hikki is at least on the right track with this song because it uses some REAL INSTRUMENTS, which approximately 1 of the tracks on Exodus did.
