You have to book months, sometimes up to a year in advance. It is always booked because it is so cheap and there are many military bases in Japan so all the members stay there when they come to Tokyo. Also, I'm not clear whether dependants can stay there on their own or not, it may be necassary to have the actual sponsor there too. My Mother is a Navy Captain that loves Ayu too, so I've never had any problems.
