Fly away is pretty good, the more I listen to it the more I like it. Can't wait to see her future work with Avex.

This is the first song in quite a while that I've liked so much upon first listen. I really hope they decide to do a proper CD release for this.

^^Well it'll be on the ravex album, and I know they're releasing it digitally...not sure if it'll have its own physical single release though. =[ But at least she's making something and we got our first avex PV from her! =]

^ Fly away won't be on the ravex album. We are getting a completely new song for that!

We should get more info on the song soon, it's being released as the bside on ravex's upcoming single (release date is Feb 18th) and it will appear on their album being released in March

I'm kinda worried about that too. At the same time though Satoda Mai and Mari have had huge success outside of H!P despite still being in the company. (Mai & Mari have very different careers compared to Maki but still <_<)

So far I'm very pleased with the way avex is handling her career

There are people out there that will look past H!P and see how talented she is. I kow because I used to think that way towards Maki. How To Use SEXY definitely changed my mind for the better. Already, I'm not disappointed from the preview of Hear Me and the full leak of Fly away.

I really hope that her new fans will give her H!P stuff a chance though. It isn't as bad as some people make it out to be!

I dunno I think people expect all her H!P stuff (prior to How to use SEXY of course..) to sound like this

Her H!P stuff is okay. Now that I think about it her past work is actually the only H!P stuff I like (except for a few Morning Musume songs and the group Tanpopo).

I love Maki's HP stuff. Well, I'm an HP fan though.

I would say try to download the concerts though first because so much of HP is the fun live performances. But in terms of albums, I'd go for her 2nd - Paint it Gold. Tours, watch 2006 G-Emotion tour - if that doesn't convert you to a fan of her current style AND her old H!P songs as well, than nothing will.

^ I agree 100%. H!P concerts are so fun to watch, the audience REALLY get's into it

Paint It Gold is a great album to start with. She has some really good bsides too (in some cases even better than the Aside~) Uh let's see Ekizo na DISCO (from her third album) is really great, it can fit right in with her how to use SEXY album. omg I don't even know where to begin I would just say download all her albums and singles

If you need help finding something don't hesitate to ask, I have everything

haha. Yeah, personally I love ALL of Maki's HP stuff. That's why I recomend watching some of her live concerts first and then you can see from there "oh this songs cool" "oh that song is cool" etc. And as you mentioned, the B-Sides are great too - my favorite is probably Blue Island.

I'm going to be at the final Hello Project concert on 2/1! I'm hoping that Maki will come exploding out of the stage doing Daite yo! Please Go On as a surprise performer. (Hey, I can dream can't I?!)
