Toriyama did a good job with that sketch even if I am against having it on the CD. It is more than close enough to Ayu's likeness.

But as for the PV...

As a reader of manga, I'm not too surprised at how the CD image turned out. Akira has a distinctive style that easily recognizable (to me at least). Then there's the fact that he's probably used to drawing male characters since even the female characters in the Dragonball series tend to be a bit manish looking. Not a bad interpretation of Ayu though. I did recognize it as her because of the big eyes and small lips.

You know, I really like this. It's mysterious, yet it's strong.

My one criticism is her face/cheekbone is a tad too strong for my taste. Althought that's what probably makes the drawing so strong, it's just a little too strong.

The hair looks like a tame Goku, which I find cool. Reminds me of her "No way to say" era.

I think it's funny and cute - and it looks like Ayu. Of course, it's manga and not a portrait so you cannot expect it to be like a portrait. Honestly - it's just a fun bonus thingie, people shouldn't take it so serious.
