Personally I think Sparkle will be the better song, from the previews it sounds hypnotic and addicting.

Anyway, I honestly think that Rule/Sparkle will not sell as well as Days/GREEN. Unfortunately (or fortunately), Japan prefers summer cute songs and winter ballads.

More like 193k wasn't it? D/G needs to sell about 7000 more to beat MW. If it can chart for the next 10 or so weeks it just might make it. Well, ayu seems to be getting more media exposure over the last 3 months than she did for jan-nov 2008 so hopefully that helps R/S. Also maybe the neon retro look on the cover may be a selling point haha... It's something different if anything.

^True, it might very well be a B&D/Pride but then SURREAL was released on the same day as Duty and it was still number 1. As long as R/S doesn't kill ayu's no.1 single streak then I don't care what the sales figures are. But at least 100k la.

Yeah like it may still get #1 cuz Bold and delicious did too and that was released soon before (m)u. And The japanese hated bold and delicious so that had two things against it.

Yea 193k my mistake. I keep thinking closer to 200k since everyone is hoping D/G sells past the 200k mark

I'm not sure where to put this since there isn't a Rule/Sparkle sales thread yet, but since we talked about it before....i still saw absolutely zilch zero about Rule/Sparkle when I left Japan on the 12th and I was just reading on Japanese Ayu fan boards that there still doesn't seem to be much about this single. What the heck is Avex thinking? They haven't even updated her promo schedule for the new single on her site and it goes on sale one week from today. (and she is already not on the schedule for this weeks music station.)

Well it's not a disaster... avex is just playing cheap and I bet their plan is to promote the single/album together. Ayu is still in LA (As far as we know) so you can't really expect her to have a schedule if she's not there. I'm pretty sure Rule will get promoted in the next week or the week after.

Yeah I guess that they're only releasing the single to promote NEXT LEVEL, even so I would really like to see Ayu performing the album tracks on TV Shows like she used to do with RAINBOW, MA and MY STORY.
