But again, this single has styles that is not very popular with Japan... I mean they kind of prefer ballads right? As far as I can recall, her rock singles don't exactly sell very well.

But yeah, Rule and Sparkle are both great songs!

Well either they know about her stuff or they don't. Albums are more important than singles, but you can't say "yea, almost everyone knows about her just-announced albumt hat doesn't even have covers, but hardly ANYONE knows about her single that will be released today and has had a PV and covers for weeks".

I don't expect big sales because NEXT LEVEL release isn't far away and it seems that both Rule and Sparkle will be on it :/

She should do just fine. If Akimoto Junko is number one with 1967 copies sold, I'm sure Ayu can take over that. I don't think DCT will be that much of a threat, cause I don't think LOVE MERRY-GO-ROUND sold that well.

^ You're right DCT isn't going to be a threat. There last single Tsuretette Tsuretette only sold 46k.

As I've been saying, flumpool is likely to be the biggest threat. They are on the rise and their single has 3 versions like Ayu's. DCT will be more of a threat next month.

^It's not bad for first day sales. Days/Green sold 26k and t2m sold 14k (which freaked everyone out). Can't wait to see how it goes... What time does the oricon website officially release information?

They don't seem TOO bad. At least it's not like Shuchishin, where they almost took her out. I think it'll be good competition, but they shouldn't outsell her.

Although after researching this group, I think they'll be TOUGH competition.
