^ kinki kids have had all their singles reach #1 (up to this date they've had 28). But I don't think they qualify for female solo artists...
To be more specific, the oricon article states that ayu is the first female solo artist to have 20 consecutive singles chart at #1 for the first week. I'm not familiar with matsuda seiko's chart records but perhaps not all of her 24 consecutive #1's reached #1 in their first week. Last edited by Mitkki; 24th April 2009 at 02:02 AM.
