THANK YOU. I mean we love ayu but this is pretty much the truth. She knew what she was getting into, and her excuse doesn't justify anything. People could've gotten hurt because she did this. Her response to the topic was very rude in my opinion. very dissapointed.

Yeah, but who knows, someone could have suffered an accident or the traffic jam could have made it impossible for ambulances passing by to go further. The fact "nothing happned" (as far as we know) doesn't mean you can go around doing such things that can put others under risk. that's like shooting with a gun on the street and saying you aren't guilty because nobody got hurt by the bullets (of course this is a stretch and more serious/threatening example, but yunno..) This was really a irresponsible move.

We still don't know if ayu said this thing, and even if she said it.
If I would be in that position I might have been saying the same.

Why does she need to send application to be 2-3 minutes in a -public- place?

I doubt avex would really let her have any illegal events, it would make them a bad name so the whole thing sounds a bit strange (and that the "blame" is purely over ayu).

But she go to airports and they get filled with the crowd there is also could have happened some random thing to some random person and the rush of people could block anything that happen, passages inside the airport and such. Does she really need to give applications for every flight she has in japan or HK and Taiwan to have the airport for few minutes until she goes out?

I find it wierd that they post it a month afterwards.
Also if it was so illegal how come the police didn't do anything on the same day?

This is one of the most awkward cases I have heard of (on the newspaper behalf anyway).
If it would be so serious the police would do something about it on the same day and we wouldn't get newspaper reports about it a month after. How ridiculous.

When kuu had that scandal for example, the newspaper and news were filled on the same evening/a day after.

The police that "went" there to stop the event?
Since I don't remember there was a police, or that the police said anything about it.

i never said the police went theer to stop teh event or anything. you need to read it clearly lol; im just saying her or staff should have send an application or a notice about this event.

it would have been betetr organized with the help of the police around it to control the circulation and the poeple . thats all im saying .

yes ayu goes to airport and there is fans waitting for her but not 800 . they are between 30 and a 100 maximum because when she goes to the airport its not announced +there is a lot of control in the airport and already police man there , so if there is any problem there is poeple to act in that case ( it was not the case in shibuya, people could have get hurt...)

about the police i wonder if they werent waitting to get enough complains or something to open an investigation, maybe thats why they open it so late .
that nobody will know untill they do an other official publication in the newspaper.

An application to be in a public place?
Even if she is famous she is still human being and a citizen and she has the right to go to everywhere she wants in public, Japan is still a democratic country.

Also they did announce that there will be event and even ayu mistakenly (since it needed to be a surprise) hint in her blog that she will be there and the post was up for few good hours, they could still do something about it before the event.

If there would be a word of the mixture strange and awkward, that's how the whole cases sounds, at least from the evidences that there are now and from how it looks.

and fyi, the police in Japan are basically USELESS. if you came here, you'd know. they don't interfere with anything! there's countless stories of the police watching men beat up women and not do anything because they don't want to interfere. the police even came to one of my friends parties to ask them to be quiet and asked for my friends ID's (who were drunk) and my friends said "no!!!" and the police just nodded and walked away and nothing ever happened again. seriously.
That bad? XD
Though when tsuyoshi from SMAP got naked in that public park when they got the call they came fast to arrest him lol. Maybe it was that serious for them. =P

What!? When she goes to airports, I'm sure they most likely make a report from it beforehand, so that proper security can be held. No wonder the press knows when ayu is going to ariive on airports a few days earlier. You can't really compare both situations. If ayu wants to walk freely the way she wants, she should give up being a celebrity. I'd expect her to be mature enough to know that stardom has its price, so hopefully that wasn't really her reply.

Maybe the whole news is fake, but if it were true, it wouldn't be nonsense. You don't need to arrest people on spot to consider that a certain activity broke the laws. For example, if I get a fine for disrespecting driving laws, I'll often receive the fine a month after (and will only have to pay it then). Also, waht she did probably went through a police report and enquire to check if what she did was considered illegal or not, and now the sentence has come. That's not an unusual situation in police. In my case, when I worked in army, some illegal activities made by certain privates would take a week or two in order for the whole situation to be investigated and only then a sentence would be placed upon. As I've said, the fact you don't arrest someone on spot is far from a proof that they didn't do anything illegal.

But still it wasn't her job to ask for a permission and it's wierd she is being blamed for that.

If she wants to be a normal regular human being, she should quit the massive concerts, all magazine appearances, all her divaish obsession of being the latest fashion trend, etc. Her reply only shows two things to me: she's either extremely naive and immature, or on the other hand not a very sincere/honest person. I personally don't understand how someone wants to have a normal life and still lives in diva paradise. Makes no sense I personally hope "her reply" was made up by the tabloid, otherwise, even kuu can lie better I know I'm souding crude, but even if I'm an ayu fan, I find her excuse a little pathetic.

^ Yes, that is right, but I can't help but feel that it's like just sloppy job by:

1) book's Publisher
2) avex.

For one avex SHOULD have informed the police that Ayu is making a surprise appearance so that they could path some barriers around the streets or something.

Moreover, the book's publisher should also have set fences/barriers around whatever area the promotion is going on.

I doubt Ayu would be that free to plan everything as usual... avex can be so sloppy sometimes.

Yeah it sucks for her, but she's a major celebrity. People get a little nuts around celebrities. She could have caused a riot and people could have gotten hurt. She could have gotten hurt. She should be allowed to walk around if she wants to but she has such a reaction on people. Then add in to the mix that she wasn't just walking around for pleasure but for business and it gets messy.

Ayu obviously should have let the city know beforehand about this event. Who knows how much traffic was held up and you never know. People could have been ran over, emergency cars would have needed to get somewhere but were blocked, and etc. Although this is a bit extreme on how the police are like, investigating her. Ayu just needs to be more careful with her choices next time.

Wow, this is nuts. I disappear from AHS for a little while (buried in exams) and when I come back, I see Ayu is in trouble with the law!

Well I don't think this should come as a shock--Ayu is a huge star and obviously she is going to cause a lot of fuss. I realize Japan is different but PRISON TIME seems a bit harsh O_O Avex has crazy lawyers though, so I'm sure this will all blow over (with a settlement fee probably).

Hopefully Ayu and/or Avex and/or Kodansha just pay fines for this, not prison time...

this is seriously stupid. if you really want to blame someone for that traffic jam, you need to blame the organizer or whoever was in charge of the event. Cause it's their job to ensure that everything is properly prepared & runs smoothly. Does ayu really have to double check with her security team and the police to make sure that there aren't any incidents everytime she goes outside to do something? ayu has people to handle this for her.

it's not like she went deliberatly out of her way to cause a problem by setting up a signing booth in the middle of the street.

all Japanese people care about is their damn roads.

Who cares...that was like a million years ago already...

god...I knew we were never going to see the end of that awful outfit shead

It was a really snotty reply from her, though she is right...

I think it's hilarious that they file against Ayu when...she most likely had absolutely no idea about any street situation...she expects it to be taken care of before hand by her staff and event coordinators.

So now it's on their heads...not hers.

^I think she understands that...it's just not her responsibility to take care of crowd control at an event that is not hosted by her directly.

That's the only reason it's ridiculous to persecute her. imo she doesn't need an excuse...there really isn't one, and she shouldn't come up with one either lol...

It was just bad planning by probably a few different people...I hope no one loses their job...but most likely I see a few people getting fired over this lol
