Hasn't Tegomass always been sort of country? They have a more like - acoustic, laid back style rather than NEWS' stylized pop. There's a song on Ai Ai Gasa that reminds me of country music.

Koda might get #1 because Tegomass's a temporary unit in Johnny's after all

Just like most recently THE SHIGOTONIN , they didn't get #1 with their 1st & last single Kyoka Suigetsu (which's a great singe imo)

for Tegomass's case , all 3 singles that they have put out so far , all but 1 didn't went #1 which was their 2nd single Kiss ~Kaeri Michi no Love Song~

I think they got #1 in the bag. I looked at their sales history and one single sold 88k and the other two sold 90+k. Something Kumi can't do anymore. Besides that they're JOHNNY BOYS, Tegoshi and Massu - NEWS members. For those reasons I think they'll get it.

They didn't get #1 with Kiss ~Kaeri Michi no Love Song~ because the guy that beat them was the lead singer of the Southern Allstars and that group is still popular in Japan.
