Blackouts can be surprising and often frightening things. There was one here in the US a few years back that wiped out power for the entire Northeast = http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2003_No...erica_blackout Scared the hell out of everyone down here.. and it was really boring to boot lol.

Maybe Ayu just doesn't like blackouts or the dark?

in japanese, when you talk about tanning...you say 黒くになる　(kuroku ni naru) and it means "to become dark". 黒い(kuroi) means "black" but it can also be used to say something is dark. it's often used to refer to someone's skin being of a dark color.
