Hm well there is Amüza

If you were into Grindcore I guess you could go for Flagitious Idiosyncrasy in the Dilapidation (there's also others but those 2 came to me first)

As far as J-rock goes I quite like it. For the moment my favorite band is Boris.

Only a few of thier albums can be considered rock though: Heavy Rocks, Akuma no Uta, Pink (which is what got them kind of known) Smile (US version) and parts of Soundtrack from Film "Mabuta no Ura". Also there is the first collabaration they did with Michio Kurihara. The rest is drone, ambient or experimental stuff.

Boris - Korosu
Stop motion yay hehe...

and
Boris with Michiro Kurihara - Rainbow
Has Boris Guitarist Wata on vocals. I love this song minus Michio's guitar solo.

I'm a big fan of HEAD PHONES PRESIDENT Anza (who used to be in the Sailor Moon Musicals) is thier vocalist.
I also like Breakerz (thanks to Karen Pang mentioning them)
Dir en grey, MUCC and others who I can't think of at the moment lol.
