and the Jun Gokusen VTR will be coming out soon! he better explain why he wasn't in the movie! i'm sure he was the character that everyone was most looking forward to!

Can you give examples of the "many" though. Because aside from Arashi, only Ayumi really comes to mind when it comes to lip syncing among major artists these days.

Johnny's is even surprisingly live: TOKIO - always live, Kinki Kids - can't even remember when is the last time they lip synced, SMAP - almost always live, V6 - usually live these days, KAT-TUN - Live maybe 50% of the time or more?, NEWS and Kanjani I really haven't heard enough to say. Really Arashi for some reason is the only one that really lags behind in the lip sync category it seems. Though often times they do sing the solo parts of the songs live - Ohno especially its almost impossible to tell his live singing voice from his recording voice - most of the time when it looks like he is lip syncing, he is actually live.

TBH, I can't tell when an artist lip syncs. I see the performances and I just sit back and enjoy them. How do you guys tell?

^Neither can I! That's why it hardly even bothers me! But like I said, I'm over it so I wish people would stop bringing it up and talk about Arashi.

I think it has a lot to do with how much experience you have going to live concerts where the singers actually sing live and then also comparing a live performance to a performance that has been confirmed lip synch. I also have a boyfriend who works in recording music and shows me the ins and outs of studio tricks and things like that and he can also spot when something is lip synched a mile away.
