It seems like every few years, an Ayu single goes up against a Morning Musume one.

The first was Renai Revolution 21, which was beaten out by M for the #1, then three/four years later, it was Go Girl! ~Koi no Victory~.. and then Ambitious/BLUE BIRD.. and now Nanchatte/Sunrise/Sunset.

Nope. There was Happy Summer Wedding vs. Far away, and Momosu won the battle (well at that very moment ayu wasn't as popular as momosu; it's about 500K vs. 260-280K on the first week). Then of course ayu won back by M vs. renai (550K vs. 500K on the first week). I can't recall about Go Girl tho.. I just remember & vs. shuffle 2003 LOL .

I totally agree. I would rather see ayupan on the actual cover than the actual (dolly make) ayu.
