Is it just me or is her voice higher in the live? Lovely stage! The first press of this single is sold out...does anyone know exactly what the first press is?

^ I've only seen a few of her lives, but I thought it was slightly deeper than most studio tracks. >.>' (I didn't watch the Nagareboshi live, though, since I don't really like that song. ..>_>)
Another single already?? :O And an album shouldn't be too far away, then. I'm not a huge Mika Nakashima fan, but there's always a few tracks on every album that I like, so I look forward to her releases. Plus, I just love her voice.

That happens for most of her singles, and on CDjapan they sell out quite fast... probably because they only bring in a few copies of that.

you should be glad that Nagareboshi's able to crack the top 10 when you look at who she's up against this week
Kanjani8 , Yusuke , BREAKERZ , the list goes on

![]() basically Nov is a BAD month to release singles as from Oct 28th all the way to Dec 16th , it's a Johnny's onslaught release feast from singles , albums , dvds but for Nov , it's the singles that're badly affected for non Johnny's artistes so if you want to go up against a Johnny's band & you have survived & cracked the top 10 & let alone top 5 , good for you

AMAZING. FLAWLESS. STUNNING. PERFECT. ETC.
Report from Mika Nakashima - LIVE at WASEDA 2009 1. GAME We heard this song during the sound check when we were all waiting outside, so I knew it was coming! The band walked out (keyboardist, drummer, percussionist, guitarist, bassist, and 3 backup singers--one was a really flamboyant, big foreign guy), waved hello, and then when the sirens started going, red lights came on the stage and started going crazy. Mika came running out and the crowd went wild! Her hair was down and she was wearing a long-sleeved, flowy black dress with designs on it (polka dots, maybe? I forget). Whatever it was, she looked amazing! 2. LIFE When the song first started, people started cheering all over the place-- this song got a really good crowd response! 3. Over Load I never thought this would necessarily be a good concert song, but it kept the energy going and everyone seemed to enjoy it. She took a moment between these two tracks to say hello to the audience, and told them to enjoy the show. Then it was on to the ballads... 4. WILL She performed an abridged version, which flowed nicely in to... 5. STARS which was also an abridged version. I had a feeling which song would be coming next, and I wasn't disappointed when she started to sing... 6. Mienai Hoshi She performed the entire song. I'm so glad she performed it! I thought ORION would have been the next song on the setlist (in continuing the 'star-theme' trend), but instead she sang... 7. Koe The only members on stage were Mike, her guitarist, and the pianist. Everyone else exited. This performance was absolutely flawless. It's never been one of my favorite songs, but it took my breath away. It's like she stunned the audience into silence. You could have heard a pin drop. And it took everyone a second after she finished the song to realize that it was okay to applaud. And resume breathing. 8. MY GENTLEMAN Her bassist and percussionist (and maybe her drummer, I don't remember) came back on to perform this. I've always loved this song, and she sang the beginning with kind of a cutesy-nasally voice. When she hits the super high notes in the chorus, she would kind of hold those notes and everyone else would stop playing for a second, then the song would resume normally. Her guitarist had a nice little improv bit at the end. [Talk] She took a break to chat with the audience for about 5-7 minutes or so, and people had been yelling things since she first started performing...she would walk over to one side of the stage and listen to what they were saying and then respond. Gah, it was so cute. The majority of the people who were yelling were saying "kawaiiiiii~!" and she kind of stopped walking and, with a perfectly serious face, said, "Shitteru." ("I know.") which sent us all into fits of laughter. She cracked a smile and thanked everybody, and people kept yelling questions and such at her. Someone asked what she had to eat for breakfast, and she said bread. And someone else shouted, "What about onigiri?" And she laughed and said she had just eaten them for lunch. Then someone asked her what she was drinking (she had about four thermoses on a table in front of the drum set) and she said something about herbal tea, and also something with a throat-coating agent to protect her voice (I kind of stopped listening for a second.) She also said how awesome the Waseda festival was, and there were cheers from the crowd...and she mentioned something about how she's 26, so she's got to be older than most of us, and then she ordered us to call her "nee-chan", and the entire audience yelled "NEE-CHAAAAAN~". Additionally, a few of the girls that were super close to the stage had temporary tattoos (the black/red nautical star on one wrist, "trust your voice" on the other, identical to Mika's) and they were waving their arms around, and she said, "What? Tattoos?" They said something I couldn't hear, and she said, "Oh, temporary...too bad, huh. " She really interacted with everybody. It was seriously great. And then people standing behind stage told her to hurry up and get to the next song (jerks) and she performed...9. Candy Girl Woohoo! I assumed she would perform this, but I wasn't sure what to expect since she didn't do any lives as promotion. (Which means I was there the first time she ever performed this live? Ohohoho...I'm a part of Mika-history). Ahem. This time the lights turned pink and everyone was really getting into it. I think Mika had a lot of fun with this one, too. During the instrumental sax-y part in the middle of the song, she was moving her hips a lot and being really sexy and cute. 10. Focus I've always loved Focus, and this got a better crowd reaction than I was expected! Everyone was clapping and enjoying themselves a lot. 11. ALL HANDS TOGETHER Needless to say, LOTS of clapping during this one. Lots...and lots...of clapping. 12. I DON'T KNOW An assistant brought out a red happi coat for Mika that had "Wasedasai 2009" (Waseda Festival) and her name written on it, and she had a little too much fun singing this song, haha. Lots of head banging (her hair was totally mussed up by the end of the song) and people were jumping up and down every which way. [encore] Mika changed outfits and hairstyles for the encore...her hair was slicked back into a ponytail, and she was wearing another flowy dress that was an off-white color with a green pattern, pretty bead-work along the neckline, and a big belt. Everyone started screaming "kawaaaaaaiiiiii~" again, to which she [again] replied, "I know." E1. Nagareboshi Before starting the song, Mika said she really does have a lot of star-themed songs in her discography, and she wanted to continue performing them for us with her new song. It's pretty, but this really isn't one of my favorite Mika songs. E2. ORION I'm soooo glad she sang this. I knew it had to be coming at some point; she couldn't sing every other star song she's done and not this one. The performance was amazing, and the audience was waving their arms back and forth (as opposed to standing there in awe like they had during the other ballads she performed). A perfect way to end the concert! Overall, I had such a fantastic time...I'm so glad I was able to see Mika in concert (finally!) and this was a perfect way to do it, in such a smaller venue than what she usually performs in. Bring right in the front didn't hurt, either! I'm hoping she releases an album in the spring so she'll tour this summer and I can go see her put on a real show. I always knew she had a lovely voice, but really...until you see her live, you don't even understand how amazing it is.
