Well... I really hope this kind of ranking will change next year... where last year were albums with 500K~600K now we have albums with 300K~400K... I hope her next album will sell better than NL and not going even worse...

i think everything is released during new year holiday will do better than other days. i.e All ayu's album release end of december or 1st january are doing verywell except NEXT LEVEL release on 25th march
thats what I think. thats why D/G does very well because of new year holiday bump the sales

Well Kinki Kids' recent 2 studio albums as I saw didn't sell 300,000 and they have one week in 2009 oricon year so I'm sure they won't budge NEXT LEVEL.
So NEXT LEVEL might end up 16. ^^

yeah KinKi Kids's sales have been dropping as each year goes by despite being the 2nd best selling Johnny's act of all time

I don't think they will pose that much of a threat to NEXT LEVEL

GReeeeN & B'z , I think so because of GReeeeN's 1st best album & being fuled with rumours that they were supposedly going to break up & B'z ? well enough said , best selling act of all time which they're gonna put out their 17th album MAGIC next week D:

B'z sales have also dropped a lot, their last studio album barely managed to reach 440k (considering it's debut sales were around 290k) though I guess their Ichizen xD single boosted their popularity a bit.

I'm curious to see whether MAGIC's able to sell better than 2007's ACTION

they only put like what 2-4 singles in each album of theirs but yeah Ichibu to Zenbu / DIVE really did very well despite being released in 1 edition

MY LONELY TOWN is stuggling to cross the 250K mark at this point in time despite being released in 2 editions . Then again it didn't had a big tie in as compared to Ichibu to Zenbu / DIVE since the 1st A-side was used for the BUZZER BEAT drama while for DIVE , it was used to promote Suzuki's Swift compact car

^ Considering the sales of BURN! and their previous album sales, I think that Ichibu to Zenbu / DIVE had the same effect on MY LONELY TOWN's sales as Flavor of Life had on Beautiful World. I guess the album sales could really go both ways xD

that's true . Then again I'm not familiar with B'z's previous sales performances since I only got aboard their stuff just this year in Aug so I'm not in a position to comment on it

they release an album once every 2 years or so & they don't put out on a yearly basis so maybe sales for MAGIC will be good

That's a big paradox lol but true
We, humans, love to have things that we can touch, physical things (xD) so don't understand how people buy digital music if they can buy it in physic format (only in japanese people)

Definitely. I know that it's nice to see how many "real" copies were sold, but in this day and age, we definitely need a main chart that shows total sales, as in, digital or physical. Especially since they're currently only counting something that isn't selling nearly as high anymore as the other.

They should have some chart called Oricon Digital or something xD so we could see all of the digital sales by themselves plus physical sales as well
