So, she's got ALWAYS and SONG FOR A WISH coming up next year... hmm. Good lord, that's 8 songs already (but, knowing Mika, we'll get one or two more songs after that before we get the next album)! I wonder if either will be released as a single? I don't see them both being released given that they're being used around the same time, unless one is relegated to b-side status or something...

I get the feeling both songs will make the next album, though, and I think all her b-sides so far will join them. She RARELY leaves off b-sides unless they're covers (Missing, FEVER, YOU'D BE SO NICE TO COME HOME TO).

Tie-ins don't seem to necessarily matter, to her, though, as far as whether or not a song makes her albums. She's had songs without tie-ins make her albums before. Like I said, it mainly seems to be if the b-side is a cover. 90% of Mika's single tracks make it onto her albums in the end. At the most, she'll leave off only one b-side from her next album.

Not valable... Amazing grace is a cover and was included in 2 albums and a single. It even got its own PV
Plus, she's been paying much attention to b-side tie in since MUSIC, look at this :

MUSIC : Carrot&Whip (Meiji CM), FAKE (KAnebo KATE song). Rest are inedits.
THE END : all NANA songs
YES : I LOVE YOU (DAIHATSU CM, it's a cover), BLACK&BLUE (Kanebo KATE CM), WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD (Cover, no tie in). Rest are inedits
VOICE : FOCUS (ICY digital TV CM), Anata ga iru kara (PURE with me theme song), IT'S TOO LATE (Kanebo KATE TV CM), conFusiOn (Kanebo KATE TV CM). Rest are inedits

All songs without any tie in were excluded (ie, YOU'D BE SO NICE TO COME HOME TO, Fever, Missing, Koishikute, THE ROSE.)
All are covers, yeah, but some covers made up on her albums, so yeah, obviously, she kept all tie in b-sides in her albums lately. She could have just let FOCUS on ORION's single, but it was on VOICE.
So yeah, I have my own little theory about it lol

I said MAINLY covers. As in, not always, but mostly. Koishikute, YOU'D BE SO NICE TO COME HOME TO, Missing, FEVER, and The Rose... they're all COVERS. COVERS. SMILEY and No Answer are not covers. The covers that make it onto her albums are the exceptions, not the rules.

Really, there's no reason to believe SMILEY and No Answer won't make her next album, because it has yet to be proven that a b-side without a tie-in that isn't a cover won't make it. Hasn't happened yet. Not to say it could never happen, but but the situation hasn't arisen much before.

Your theory is simply very weak because it's based on something that hasn't even been proven yet either way, because it hasn't happened yet.

I also said those are COVERS. COVERS, learn to read dear. But even if those are covers or not, it does not change the fact that some covers, which had tie-in, were included in her albums...

As I clearly said, it's just my opinion, and till now, all I said happened to be true (I said back then for VOICE release, that we would only be getting 4 inedits, and all songs she released would be included on VOICE, I even said she would stick to DAISHI DANCE mix of SAKURA~Hanagasumi~ instead of the original version)

Nothing says those 2 songs won't be included though, it's just my personal feeling about it, and I clearly said it with "In my opinion".
You have your own opinion, and I have mine, that's all.

Even if I would totally love No answer to be featured on the album, it's one of the best songs she had released since like ages.
