Hello fellow Nana fans XD I had plans this weekend to watch one of her LIVE FIGHTER concerts (I downloaded them both ^^) but as I was testing the videos to see if they worked, I was kind of annoyed to find that there seems to be some kind of commentary running over the performances? Like, Nana and some other guy seem to be talking throughout most of the concert, and this is for both RED SIDE and BLUE SIDE.

Is this just how the concert is? It has a ... built in commentary? :x Or is there something wrong with my file?

I've been debating for a long time which Nana concert to watch first (since i'm very big on concerts... and you know what they say, you never forget your first time! ) and the LIVE FIGHTERs seemed amazing, so I don't want them to be ruined by this stupid commentary.

^ There is an audio commentary you can turn on and off, I got rips where you got seperate streams, you might be able to change that^^

And for concerts, I would actually say watch Live Formula first, it definitly was her best vocally and I think it's her best overall even.

Ok, so I just watched Nana Mizuki LIVE FIGHTER... and realized I made a mistake downloading! -__- I downloaded two files, "LIVE FIGHTER -Blue Side- 01" and "LIVE FIGHTER -Red Side- 02", thinking that the 1st disc would be Blue side and 2nd side would be Red side. But what I actually downloaded was Disc 1 of Blue Side and Disc 2 of Red Side... so basically I had two halfs of two different concerts =___=;; Which was a bit irksome when I found out, but seeing as the concerts were nearly identical anyway It didn't make much difference in the end

The whole thing was AWESOME. There are a ton of new Nana songs I'm going to have to download now XD I have much more appreciation and love for Nana herself now, she's a great performer. I'd write a lengthier review but its 4am... and yeah. xD

Though speaking of Live Rainbow, I found this performance on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ssYdCVdIToM. It's just... really funny how old this looks - from the bad camerawork to the bad audience shots to the low quality to the stage layout - It's so... 90s/early 2000s xD Yet this is just 2005! The same year as Ayu's MY STORY tour, which wasn't nearly as dated as this looks XD Jeez, it looks like something out of another decade.

And the two live fighters actually ARE pretty different, but mostly in setlist and effects, the costumes are the same(except one)

True, but their first discs both end at the exact same time (right before Orchestral Fantasia) and theyre similar enough that you could swap it and not really tell the difference . Still, I plan to watch both in full eventually.

Ah and Live Rainbow finished d/ling I'll see if I can get around to uploading it, but I've been doing all this downloading on my brother's computer while he's on vacay, so after he comes back (in a week) I won't have access to all these anymore T__T (and my computer is a piece of crap and can't upload anything... not to mention I don't even have any space for concerts on it )

ah, thats bad! and yeah, both end at the same time, ansd both concerts have crappy performances of Bring It On! and Orchestral Fantasia xD Especially Orchestral Fantasia is just really, really weak in Live Fighter, when I watched BLUE SIDE, which was the first nana concert I ever watched, before even knowing any of the songs sung in it, I hated Orchestral Fantasia xD After watching the Live Formula performance...it pretty much became my second to favourite song xD

I remember looking through the performers list and not finding her xD And shes the only female to have her kouhaku debut this year? NEAT! I hope she performs Mugen...or that new single

Well, other news then^^

She had a fanclub event a few weeks ago. 7000 fans! She did something similar to NANA SUMMER FESTA 2007, she had her fans vote their 50 favourites and performed the ten most voted songs + phantom minds ^^ I hope we get it on DVD with her next album...
Also, she broke two guinness world records at that event, most people doing a wave while holding hands at the same time and most people blowing in some paper trumpet thing at the same time, now I need to buy the world records book next year xD she also tried breaking the "loudest audience" record, but failed, the nana fans got to 107 dB(100 is a train driving right next to you a full speed!), the record is 130.

She's not the only female to debut on Kōhaku. Kaela Kimura is also debuting. I'm hoping she performs "Shin Ai". That's really the only song I like from her.

I doubt she'll perform Shin Ai, well, it's her fans 4th most favourite song, but the album is out almost 6 months and shes got 1 new single out and 2 new singles to be out in january and february

And Shin Ai is really the only one? I think it's the most generic ballad of hers I actually like xD

I know she won't perform "Shin Ai", but I would love it if she did. "Mugen" is the most obvious choice since it just came out and it will most likely chart in the Top 10 again after Kōhaku.

I had no idea that she was releasing a single in January AND February. I knew about the January one, "PHANTOM MINDS" but I thought they had just changed the name to "Silent Bible". Wow she sure is going to be busy.

Yeah, I only liked "Shin Ai", I download ULTIMATE DIAMOND but I didn't like any of the songs. I think I might have to give her best album a try.

well, you can try her The Museum best off, I don't really like it...for me ULTIMATE DIAMOND was what got me into her, actually...it was the Etsuraku Camellia PV(that enka-rock song placed second on the album). I think her older stuff mostly sounds too generic. But you might like Heart-shaped chant, that song is similar to Shin Ai a little.(actually...the only similarity probably is the harp xD) Just look for a live performance of it on youtube, especially the live formula one is great.

I think Hybrid Universe is her best album, personally! Also Great Activity and Ultimate Diamond come in second.
She has some pretty solid singles though. It's funny cause when Shin Ai came out I didn't like it at all. It's just so-so for me. Heart-shaped chant is better I think.
