if she intended it only for her fanclub, then i think the song would only be on a special edition of the single ONLY sold to her fanclub. i think ~for TA~ means for Team Ayu, her fans, not Team Ayu, her fanclub. to me, RED LINE reminds me of the red string of fate that is mentioned often in Japan, and the song to me symbolizes the red string of fate connecting ayu to her fans. she would NOT deliberately exclude most of her fans who are not members just because they give her money to be in her fanclub.

the song is not a special bonus like a fleece blanket only available to those in the fanclub, it's to all her fans who are her Team Ayu!

^ I was goin to say that... what tokyoxjapanxfan makes a lot of sense, and I'm agree with that, this song was requested by TA when she wrote a lot of posts about her dead friend, TA messages inspired her to do this song.. it's quite logical and even though TA would already know that this song is what they requested, it's like a nice simbolic present for TA... they have a song...

Even though, there's a lot of times when she talks about TA, but I think in those she's refering to all her fans, staff, etc... She knows perfectly that not only TA members buy her singles and suport her! When she posts in her blog: thanks TA! after a concert, she isn't refering only to 200 people of the audience... I think this is a way to call all the people who support her, not only fans... we all are Team Ayu as we support her!! Ayu is not stupid nor blind xD

But still (assuming you're talking about my post, correct me if I'm wrong I'm not against the song, more like, how everything is never fans, but TA. It is not the song as much as just...everything.

how is it "everything"? because she thanks TA in some of her diary posts? they send her a lot of messages, so she responds to them and thanks them, but she also talks about getting messages outside of TA and posts about those too, thanking them as well. everything isn't always just TA. they get some exclusive stuff, but they pay for their membership, so they deserve it.

^I agree. Especially the bold part. You don't have to be part of the fan club to be a part of Team Ayu, in a sense, just being a fan and supporting her you already are. Just because we don't get goodies from being in the fan club doesn't mean that she doesn't recognize ALL of her fans all over the world.

When has anything been "TA"? If anything in official statements Ayu's always saying "thanks to all my fans" not "thanks to all the members of my fan club." This is the first time (that I know of, please correct me if I'm wrong) that I've ever seen her dedicate a song to her fan club. And since if they didn't ask the song wouldn't be in existence, I don't see what the big deal is? I'm just trying to see your point a little better ^^;

One of ayu's diary entry mentioned that the single was originally planned to have 2 new songs only but since TA members requested ayu to do a song, she added it. I don't care about the song title...I'm just happy about the fact we're getting one more new song on the single.

We are not technically supposed to read her diary, because if we dont have the membership, we cant look.
Remember when she got angry when people starting posting her diary about the dead friend??

Whenever she makes an official statement, she always says my fans instead of my fanclub. Also, even if I dont have a membership, I feel like I am part of TA, because I am part of the people who like Ayu. If you say TA is separate from fans, then you're going to of course feel rejected if you care about the wording that much.

But the fact is, RED LINE was requested by TA, not her fans in general. Sorry, but it's the truth. I dont understand why people are caring so much, it sounds like "Stop talking about them, and look at me!" I really laugh at people who say Ayu is selfish, because if you could remember last year, she gained anemia because she was working to hard to put a good shows for everyone.

she doesn't specifically say her entire TA nor does she not say it. what if the song is simply a dedication to that one member who was going through a bad time? it doesn't mean it's not for everyone to hear, but it's in his honor (and was inspired by him).

This is... been heard before. Like she has her Fairyland/Glitter-type of songs, the Rule/1LOVE-type of songs, and the No Way To Say/Together When-type of ballads. You were is just another one in that category.


Anyways, I sound s bit harsh maybe. And this is just a LQ-clip, so I will probably change my opinions a little bit when a better quailty one is out. I kind of like the Jewel/Curtain Call-type of ballads anyway, that aren't so dramatic sounding My Heart Will Go On-ish...
And there's still two more songs to look forward to! Yay

I pretty much agree with all of this! I'm sure I'll like it a bit more when I hear it in a bit better quality. I DO like it, but I agree its in the category you mentioned and not really innovative.
