Good German Music!

I'm trying to better my German, and from experience with Japanese, I've found that music helps me a lot I was wondering if anyone here could recommend me some great artists. I'm particularly looking for pop/hip hop music (like Ayu, Koda Kumi, Amuro Namie, Lady Gaga, etc.) For some reason, all the German music I have now is rock (Jennifer Rostock, Panik, Fraulein Wunder, etc.)

Let me know!!! Thank you

Those bolded are really great

Silbermond does Pop/Rock (in my opinion) so you should try them out
And Xavier Naidou is really great For Example this song~ (A quite slow song but the lyrics are so nice ^_^)
Maybe "Wir sind Helden" but they do Pop/Rock~

Actually I don't really know any good german Hip Pop artists~

Pop/Hip Hop.
Defenitely try Fettes Brot.

Or Die Fantastischen Vier.

Both groups are making Hip Hop mixed with Pop (or vice versa).

Deichkind is also good.

Wir sind Helden are the best germany got...especially their lyrics, so, even if they do mostly pop-rockish with some electropop every now and then, you should try them!you will have some good laughs with the lyrics as well^^ ("Willst du nicht bügeln?") And they have a pretty high level of german sometimes, so you get to know words that are rarely used in songs.

Well, theres not much like...dance music in germany and if german artists do something in that direction they mostly sing in english...like, off the top of my mind...sarah connor comes to mind, pretty much the german pop princess(though she isnt THAT succesful) and sings in english

Rammstein! It's heavy music, but I love it.

Try the song Sonne :O

I also recommend the uberclassic "Zehn kleine Jägermeister"

When I was young I used to listen to the band Echt, they had some unique songs (Du trägst keine Liebe in dir, Junimond, Wo bist du jetzt?) but that's the music of the 90's, not sure how it's perceived by today's people.

It brings back memories I learned german by watching anime with german dubbing when it was still unknown in my country

I have some more good songs but they are all from the 90's :p

Ok, if you're searching for something like that it's a bit difficult. Cause most german techno or dance groups are singing in english not german.
The only dance genre I can think of with german lyrics is Industrial.

But most of the lyrics are weird, so not that good to learn the language. XD
Samsas Traum is ok, they have quite normal lyrics sometimes.
