If you're curious...these songs have different versions:

Gekkou
Single Version has acoustic guitar and congas.

BACK DOOR
Single version has electric piano, guitar and bass whilst the album version has cello and acoustic piano.

SHINE (シャイン)
Single version again has electric piano, guitar and bass with the album version just being piano.

LITTLE BEAT RIFLE
Album version is just piano, single version has guitars, synths, bass and percussion.

Castle・imitation
Original version: acoustic piano, electric and acoustic guitar, bass, drums, percussion, violins, violas and cellos.
Album version: stripped of everything electric, so acoustic piano, guitar, percussion, violin, viola and cello.

MAGICAL WORLD:
The album version gets rid of the cello and adds keyboards, percussion and strings.

Rainman:
Album version adds guitar, keyboards, bass, drums and strings.

I Pass By also has different versions, but the single version actually has a different name so.. D:

^ Hm, I actually didn't know about MAGICAL WORLD or Rainman. :O Honestly though, I never cared too much for them in general. :X (Well, I do like Rainman, but it's not a favourite.)

I got into Chihiro after watching a comedian make fun of Gekkou. I just had to hear the original song after watching the comedian and I fell in love<3

Well, I honestly didn't really find out about her until Borderline, what with it having such a big tie-in and everything. Like, I remember hearing her name a few times, but I'd never actually heard anything by her... But as soon as I heard that song, I was sucked in! Her voice was (and still is, of course) so intriguing... Very haunting and unique. I found out that she had a lot of piano based songs, and that was just one more reason for me to look up more of her music. (I'm a HUGE sucker for piano, lol!

)
So, I decided to download her then most recent album, the ultimate collection. I first listened to SHINE, since I remembered hearing about that song before... And oh my God, I had that song on repeat for ever, lol!! I was so amazed by it.

Afterwards, I downloaded her other albums and patiently waited for a new one.

There haven't been any other Chihiro songs that I've liked like those two, but that would be saying a whole lot, anyhow, considering how much I like them! (Well, I do love her Ii Hi Tabidachi, Nishi e--a LOT more than the original or other covers.

Her voice fits so perfectly, and I love her arrangement.) But still, her songs are usually so relaxing... I love listening to them to wind down and such. And I still love her voice a lot. ^_^

So yeah....... That's my [long-***] Chihiro story, lol. XD

Haha I'm a sucker for piano and strings <3 so that's a reason why I just adore Chihiro to XD She has the best piano and string players over at wherever she works.

LOL am i the only one who doesnt like SHINE? XD i think its annoying, especially the chorus part

the first song from chihiro that i've heard was memai from a japanese compilation album, and i immediately thought that this song is perfect. the intro (omg, one of the best intro ever), her voice and the song is really good, i got hooked by it and started to find more of her stuff. But somehow i forgot the present of her XD but get hooked again after watching a performance of infection, and that time i was so crazy about her, and keep listening to her songs non-stoply. I've downloaded her best album and i was stunned by her everything

Wow, so this year is her 10 anniversary then? Cool.

The tracklisting is good, but it is missing some a-sides. I rather it be a singles collection, than a selection of best hits.

Well at least this best of will be one she's actually authorized...

She's only had two albums since her last one, too--She's getting up there with Kumi-annoying in her bests. >_<' I want something new!!

I honestly wasn't expecting anything to come out for a while. (Beginning of next year, maybe?) It's just annoying how she can throw out a compilation so soon after a previous release, yet it takes forever for her to release a studio album. >.<

wow that's pretty funny

i'm sure chihiro had already composed tonnes of song, why not just randomly choose 10 songs and squeeze it into a brand new album?

Well, they could have done that I guess, I just got my information from the Frozen Call website. xD
