Congrats to Ayu.
Honestly though.. I don't really consider Ayu a legend*, yes she has made history in the japanese music industry... but to call her a legend* seems strange to me in a way.. I'm not saying that she doesn't deserve her iconic# status in Japanese history, so don't get me wrong or take this the wrong way (and i'm sure someone will) because she certainly does. Honestly what is so extraordinary^ about her? Sure she has released many # 1 Hits, but so have dozens upon dozens of ther musicians through out the world (in their respective countries). Yeah she has been a fashion icon for many years, but so have have many other people (in their respective countires). * Legend: Any person of extraordinary accomplishment # Icon(ic): 3.A person or thing that is the best example of a certain profession or some doing. (in the case of Ayumi Hamasaki who is an Icon among Japanese society on a variety of levels. Music, Fashion, Spokeswoman ^ Extra Ordinary: going beyond what is regular, usual, or customary.
